Two more Virtual Console games are apparently due out in North America tomorrow. Nintendo has listings for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (Wii U VC) and Tecmo Bowl (3DS VC) up on its website with a September 12 release date. Both cost $4.99 each.

Activision community manager says Call of Duty: Ghosts is “more science than science fiction”, relating to ‘Rods from God’

The single player trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts that was revealed yesterday showcased a bit of the story that we didn’t know about previously: Something called ‘Rods of God’ would be used as the stage for the apocalyptic events in the game. ‘Rods of God’ are effectively just giant cylinders dropped from low-earth-orbit that smack into the ground and cause mass devastation– and Activision community manager Dan Amrich says it’s not terribly fictional:
“Say what you will about its over-the-top gameplay and action-movie attitude, but Call of Duty still plays in the realm of plausibility.”

Renegade Kid sale taking place on the eShop tomorrow – 30% off all games

Renegade Kid will kick off a sale for its eShop releases in North America starting tomorrow. All of the studio’s games will be discounted by 30 percent, including Mutant Mudds and Mutant Mudds Deluxe.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist receives new patch on Wii U

Ubisoft has released a new patch for the Wii U version of Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The game’s single-player and co-op features have been touched up, as well as other elements.

The Wii U version of EDGE will run at 1080p and 60 frames-per-second, according to developer Two Tribes.
The studio passed along the news on Twitter, writing:
It's official! EDGE on Wii U will ship running at 1080p at full 60 frames per second with anti-aliasing enabled! Translation: looks tight!

EDGE is one of three classic Two Tribes games coming to Wii U. RUSH and Toki Tori are also planned for the console.
