Jett Rocket II could come to Wii U “if fans really ask for it”
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 4 Comments
Jett Rocket originally started out on Wii as a WiiWare title. In December 2011, developer Shin’en announced a sequel for the 3DS as an eShop release.
Yet even though Jett Rocket is making the transition from console to handheld, Shin’en isn’t opposed to bring Jett Rocket II to the Wii U eShop.
You may remember how, a few weeks ago, Shin’en published a tweet that seemed to ask fans about their feelings regarding an HD version. We followed up with the studio about the possibility of a Wii U port, and were told the following:
“We originally didn’t plan a Wii U version of JR2 but since we connected a 3DS devkit to a TV to capture some footage we realized the game would work great on the big screen. So if fans really ask for it we would be happy to go for it.”
So there you have it. Want Jett Rocket II on Wii U? Let Shin’en know!

SteamWorld Dig dev on moving from mobile platforms to the 3DS eShop
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 1 Comment
SteamWorld Dig is Image & Form’s first 3DS title. Prior to this, the studio had been developing for iOS and Android.
Even though these platform may have larger install bases, Image & Form CEO Brjann Sigurgeirsson noted in an interview with Gamer’s Thumb that they’re more crowded, and may have users who are not as dedicated to gaming – leading to prices that “have fallen through the floor.”
Once Image & Form started to consider the situation, the company felt that the 3DS would be a good fit for their titles. With an increasing install base and gamer-centric focus, Nintendo’s portable system was a top choice for SteamWorld Dig – a game that “fits the unit like a glove.”
