We have one new tidbit about Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don’t Know. On Wii U, Beemo appears on the GamePad. Players can access tips, clues on how to defeat bosses, and commentary with over 300 different voice clips. Beemo will also turn up in the 3DS version via the touch screen.

Activision has announced its Gamescom 2013 lineup. Call of Duty: Ghosts, Destiny, Skylanders Swap Force, and Angry Birds Star Wars will be on display at the expo next week.

Activision’s own booth will feature a “Show Mode”. Here, fans can watch footage from Call of Duty: Ghosts, Destiny and Skylanders Swap Force in a panoramic 190° cinematic theater experience.

Pokemon X/Y has already become a success even though the game isn’t due out for another two months.

According to Media Create, both versions of the game have racked up 260,000 copies in Japanese pre-orders thus far. That number was achieved in just a two day span.

Pokemon X/Y still has a ways to go before it meets Pokemon Black/White 2’s numbers, however. The DS games saw 1.16 million pre-orders a week before they launched in Japan.

Capcom has launched the first DLC case for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies in Japan known as “Turnabout Return”. It takes place after Phoenix regains his badge and players encounter characters and areas that did not appear in the main game.

Pricing is set at 400 yen. It’ll go up to 400 yen after September 12.


Shin Megami Tensei IV launched in North America last month. How’d it do? Pretty darn good all things considered.

In its first couple of weeks on the market, Shin Megami Tensei IV moved between 65,000 and 70,000 units in the US. That’s according to the reliable NPD leaker Creamsugar.

For a fairly niche RPG, that’s a number Atlus can be satisfied with.

Nintendo has issued a response to the latest NPD report. The company confirmed that the 3DS was the best-selling system in the US for the month of July – the third consecutive month that the handheld accomplished such a feat.

3DS hardware sales are up 14 percent year-over-year. Software sales have also increased by 45 percent year-over-year.
