Three Packs for Coin Rush Mode Available on Oct. 4

REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Players worldwide have collected more than 100 billion gold coins in New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS portable system. That tally is set to skyrocket exponentially as Nintendo offers new Coin Rush Mode levels for the game. Several new downloadable add-on level packs will be made available to game owners, with the first three packs launching on Oct. 4. Each new pack contains three courses and can be purchased from within the game* at a price of $2.50 per pack. Subsequent packs will be on the way, with the next arrivals at the end of October and the end of November.

While normal Coin Rush Mode offers players three levels chosen at random, the ones in the add-on pack are the same three in the same order every time. That gives players the ability to test themselves against one another on an even playing field.

The Nintendo Directs just keep on coming!

Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that yet another presentation will be shown on Thursday. President Satoru Shibata will host the presentation and highlight titles for the 3DS that are set to be released over the next few months.

Fans can tune in here at 7PM BST for the broadcast.

Stay tuned for the North American Nintendo Direct Mini later today!

This is what the process is like in getting the New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC up and running:

This is coming a bit later than initially anticipated, but Nintendo of America has confirmed that its own “Nintendo Direct Mini” for the New Super Mario Bros. 2 downloadable content will be shown at 7:30 AM PT (10:30 AM ET) tomorrow morning.

NoA tweeted a few moments ago:

“A Nintendo Direct Mini, which is a brief video on a Nintendo topic, will air at 7:30 AM PT tomorrow w/ details about #NSMB2 add-on content.”

Technically, this won’t be anything too new. We already received most of the DLC details late last week through the Japanese presentation.

Anyway, look for it on the site tomorrow!
