Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
After years of waiting, the new installment of Mega Man Legends draws closer with Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version. Available as a download, Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version will be a launch title when Nintendo eShop opens for business.
Mega Man Legends 3 is the first Capcom game to be co-developed by the fans. Prototype Version gives players the first taste of Mega Man’s upcoming open-world action/adventure game, and lets them see a game still early in the development process. It also introduces a new character to the franchise, the reckless leader of a sky biker gang, Barrett.
Be the first to try out his new close combat gameplay style, and see first-hand some of the fan contributions to the game come to life. Also, once you have finished the core missions, receive access to areas of the game not yet finished, as well as a debug menu that gives you special moves and abilities.Once you experience the game, let your voice be heard by heading to www.capcom-unity.com/devroom and join the community of Servbots who are helping design the game. Get insight into what it takes to build a game, learn about the development process, and interact with the members of the Development Team themselves. But most importantly, be creative. No matter how large or small your idea is, you have the chance to see it come to life and get your name in the credits of the game!

Miyamoto on new games, Zelda’s 25th anniversary, Project Cafe rumors, much more
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 0 comments
Yesterday, French site Game Blog posted a short snippet from an interview they conducted with Shigeru Miyamoto, which confirmed that Nintendo is trying their best to release Mario 3DS this year. The full interview has now been posted on the site, and the folks on NeoGAF were kind enough to translate the important bits. Miyamoto shared some very interesting information (including a comment on Project Cafe), so I recommend you check out the details below.
– Miyamoto says he’s working on a new Zelda, a new Mario, Mario Kart 3DS, and a new Pikmin
– Nintendo making new AR Games for the 3DS
– Miyamoto didn’t say if these new AR Games will be retail releases or downloadable
– Miyamoto reconfirmed that Nintendo intends to celebrate Zelda’s 25th anniversary just like they did for Mario
– Many products/merchandising for Zelda’s anniversary (unclear if this means games or CD/books)
– Miyamoto on Project Cafe rumors: Nintendo always working on new hardware and “where there’s smoke there’s fire”, but “you shouldn’t believe everything you read [on the internet]”.
– Miyamoto considering entrusting the younger teams with traditional characters such as Mario and Zelda, so he can get more time to work for himself
European The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D boxart

Some folks have said that they prefer this boxart over the North American one, but I actually like them both. I’m pretty content with the one we’re getting here in the U.S., though the European art looks very nice as well. Which one do you guys like more?

Rumor: Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games in the works, announcement imminent
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
Here’s a shocker: Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games is most likely in development. And if a press release Czech website Zing.cz is accurate, SEGA should be confirming the news in the near future. The PR notes that the title is in development for both the Wii and 3DS, and, unsurprisingly, will feature new sports/mini-games. Check out the complete translated PR below.
Sega announces the continuation of the popular series, Mario & Sonic, this time at the summer Olympic Games in London 2012
SEGA and Nintendo have announced that after many years of partnership Mario and Sonic, once again join forces. The legendary series that have sold over 19 million, now will head to London for the Olympic Games 2012, the official name of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games on the Wii and also the very first time on a revolutionary portable Nintendo 3DS.
Many new and exciting sports like soccer and riding, which will debut on the Wii version, will appear alongside the traditional Olympic disciplines such as athletics, water sports, or table tennis. The new sports will certainly further encourage sports enthusiasm among the play
ers in both single and multiplayer modes!

Miyamoto: Hope for Mario to come to 3DS this year
Posted on 13 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
French gaming site GameBlog had an interview with Nintendo-guru Shigeru Miyamoto, and in it they presented him a series of Mario figurines, after which Miyamoto had something to say about the new Mario 3DS game.
“I promise to do everything to deliver your new Mario this year!”
While this is hardly confirmation of the game coming (remember that Skyward Sword was supposed to come out last year), it’s fairly good news considering it means that there is a very fantastic 3DS line-up for this year, including Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Mario Kart, and Mario 3DS! Hopefully Miyamoto’s words hold true…
