Super Mario Bros. Wonder

During today’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Super Mario Bros. Wonder is coming to Switch. Fans will be able to pick it up on October 20, 2023.

While we’ve seen a couple of Super Mario Maker games, 2D Mario has largely been missing for many years. New Super Mario Bros. U launched for Wii U in 2012, and the New Super Luigi U expansion came out a year later. Both experiences were later ported to Switch, but we haven’t seen anything since then – again, outside of Mario Maker.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby - Party Dash

Today, Cygames announced Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash for Switch. The titles launches in 2024 worldwide.

WarioWare: Move It

Nintendo is back with another WarioWare game for Switch. As revealed during today’s Nintendo Direct, it will be available on November 3, 2023.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R

Square Enix is bringing Star Ocean: The Second Story R to Switch, the company announced today. The release date has been confirmed for November 2, 2023.

Star Ocean: The Second Story originally released for the PlayStation in 1998 in Japan, with the North American and European launch rolling out over the following years. It’s not the first time the RPG is seeing a re-release as an updated version known as Star Ocean: Second Evolution first appeared on the PSP.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 5

Today’s Nintendo Direct wouldn’t have been complete without some news about the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, and we did get an update about the Wave 5 DLC. It will be available this summer.

Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek will be included as new characters. There’ll also be the new Squeaky Clean Sprint course.

Penny's Big Breakaway

The developers behind Sonic Mania – known as Evening Star – just unveiled Penny’s Big Breakaway, a new 3D platformer for Switch. It will be seeing release in early 2024 with Private Division publishing.

Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors is making the jump to Switch, Poncle has announced. Look for it on August 17, 2023.

Vampire Survivors will launch on Switch with the latest updates, including the newly announced local couch-co op. The Legacy of the Moonspell and Tides of the Foscari will also be sold.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince

Square Enix is developing Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince for Switch, Square Enix just announced. A release is planned for December 1, 2023.

A new Dragon Quest Monsters game was teased for Switch last month in celebration of the series’ 25th anniversary. However, Square Enix didn’t provide any sort of specifics.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1

Today, Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is set to launch on Switch. The package is due out on October 24, 2023.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 will include Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid (including VR Missions / Special Missions), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version), and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version). This was technically announced last month, but without any concrete details or word on which platforms it would be on.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Last Spark Hunter release date

Ubisoft has been giving us small updates on the DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, but we now have a concrete release date for The Last Spark Hunter. The latest content will be available today.
