Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is running on a modified version of the Bluepoint Engine, the game’s developer has revealed. Armature Studio shared the tidbit on Twitter when asked by a fan a few days ago.

Bluepoint Engine has powered titles such as Blast Factor and God of War Collection. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale also takes advantage of the technology.

Majeso appears to be shipping Crash City Mayhem in North America, and the game could just be a few weeks away from launching.

We’ve come across a listing on GameFly that lists a plausible May 14 date. The retailer also posted the North American boxart for Crash City Mayhem. Take a look:

Crash City Mayhem originally launched in Japan in January 2012 as Runabout 3D. Ghostlight confirmed plans to distribute the title in Europe last July, but we haven’t heard anything since.

  • Has local 2 players multiplayer with Download Play.
  • The levels have been reworked to fit the 3DS’ screen.
  • New tutorials and a smoother learning curve.

Cut the Rope

  • Port done by Abylight, published by Zeptolab.
  • Takes the iOS version and adds the extra PC/Mac levels.

What would you say is the most successful Tales game in the west? Tales of the Abyss, maybe? Nope.

Series producer Hideo Baba revealed that Tales of Symphonia on the GameCube is the best-performing title overseas to-date. When asked about why he believes this is the case, Baba pointed out that Symphonia was the first 3D release in the franchise and Namco Bandai additionally received “a lot of support from Nintendo” that allowed the company “to reach out to a broader audience that we weren’t able to reach before.”

“I believe the success of Tales of Symphonia has multiple factors to it, the first being that it was the first Tales title that was rendered in 3D polygons, so we believe that was a huge component to its success. Another huge component was that we had a lot of support from Nintendo, so that allowed us to reach out to a broader audience that we weren’t able to reach before.”
