Spirittea just gained a huge update on Nintendo Switch known as “Phantom Friends”.

Lots of content will be added to the spirit-filled life-sim adventure once the patch is installed. Highlights include the ability to summon spirit companions using pet shrines and ritual scrolls, the new spirit poeg, new quests, a new merchant, and tons of improvements.

Below is a full rundown of the update:

Monster Train 2

Monster Train 2 is in development and will be released for Nintendo Switch, publisher Big Fan Games and developer Shiny Shoe shared today. A release window was not given.

Monster Train 2 looks to build off of the original roguelike deckbuilder. There’ll be new clans, new enemy factions, new challenges, new modes, and more.

Ater Age

There’s yet another RPG coming from Kemco, and the publisher has now announced Alter Age. Fans can expect it to release on March 7, 2025.

Alter Age was made by Exe Create. A key mechanic of the game – which also ties into the title – is switching between grownup and preteen forms during battle.

Hamster has confirmed this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch will be Othello. It’ll be ready to go tomorrow, February 20.

Othello, based on the classic board game of the same name, was released by Success in 1984. For those unfamiliar with the game, players place white and black stones alternately, and by sandwiching them vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, they flip their opponent’s stones over and make them their own. The game features evaluation and rewind functions to enable greater strategy and practice.

Last Spartan Glory Over Madness

Entalto Publishing, in partnership with developer BAD Spiele Studio, has confirmed plans to release Last Spartan: Glory Over Madness on Nintendo Switch. It was initially slated for February 2025, but now seems to be coming later in the year.

Last Spartan: Glory Over Madness is a roguelike deckbuilder with dynamic dice mechanics. In the game, players are tasked with guiding King Leonidas through a nightmare realm as they look to reclaim the homeland from darkness.

Blow It Up

Today, Brain Seal Entertainment shared the news that it’s putting Blow It Up on  Nintendo Switch. A release is scheduled for early March 2025.

Blow It Up is a physics destruction game where chaos meets creativity that takes inspiration from Angry Birds and Crush the Castle. By shooting bombs, you’ll destroy enemies that are hiding behind different structures.

To the Moon: Sigmund Minisode 1 and 2

December 19: Today, Serenity Forge and Freebird Games announced that To the Moon: Sigmund Minisode 1 and 2 are heading to Nintendo Switch. Both are planned for early 2025 on the console.

These two experiences first launched for PC in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Both offer a wider look at the To the Moon universe.

The Backrooms 1998 release date

The Backrooms 1998 was announced for Nintendo Switch less than a month ago, but it already has a release date. Feardemic and Steelkrill Studio will be bringing it over on February 20, 2025.

As previously mentioned, The Backrooms 1998 is a found footage survival horror game. The recent announcement did not provide a release window, but it turns out we’re just a few days away from the console debut.

Antipaint

January 1: Antipaint came to PC a little while back to a strong reception, and a Nintendo Switch version is now confirmed to be int he works. The port is “coming soon”.

Antipaint is a roguelike shooter with plenty of action. The title has players battling famous works of art, and after defeating each one, they’ll join your collection.
