Darius will be the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch, Hamster has announced. The title is slated for release on October 6, 2022.

Darius is Taito’s well-known horizontal-scrolling shooter that first released in 1987. In it, you control the starship known as Silver Hawk while going on a mission to take down the Belser empire before they wipe out the planet. The game features a three-screen panoramic display, power-ups, and more.

Bear and Breakfast update 1.4.8

A new update is here for Bear and Breakfast on Switch, with the game moving up to version 1.4.8.

This patch is all about making the experience better. Players should encounter fewer crashes, and the team has implemented a number of other fixes as well.

Disney Dreamlight Valley

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for September 2022.

Disney Dreamlight Valley proved to be extremely popular, as it not only topped the chart, but also had three separate entries thanks to its additional Ultimate and Deluxe Editions. We also see a couple of other new titles: Splatoon 3 and Return to Monkey Island, which place #2 and #3 respectively.

Developer Jinthree Studio and Publisher RedDeerGames have announced that they will be bringing Broken Universe: Tower Defense to Switch this year via the eShop. In the game you will play as a raccoon out to save his girlfriend and will travel across the universe, defeating enemies by building barricades and towers to stop them.

Guardian Tales gameplay

Guardian Tales has made the jump to Switch, and plenty of gameplay is available. One video we have now shows off 30 minutes of footage.

Garbage Pail Kids: Mad Mike and the Quest for Stale Gum is coming to Switch and is launching in just a few weeks, it’s been revealed. Publisher iam8bit and developer Retrotainment are behind the new title.

Garbage Pail Kids: Mad Mike and the Quest for Stale Gum takes place after the events of GPK Mad Mike: Fury Load. This was a series of shorts written by Adam F. Goldberg (creator of the TV show The Goldbergs) set in a post-apocalyptic world. After saving the day, Mad Mike simply wants his favorite stale gum, but the factory run by Brainy Janie only makes fresh gum. That prompts an adventure in which Mad Mike will travel through time and space with his friends on a high-tech toilet to collect the ingredients to make it stale.

Mars Base

The 16-bit greenhouse farming sim Mars Base is in the works for Switch, publisher Freedom Games and developer KZ Games confirmed today. Following its initial debut for PC on October 17, we’ll be seeing it on Nintendo’s console starting December 8, 2022.

Fallen Knight release date

Today, publisher DigiPen Game Studios and developer FairPlay Studios announced that Fallen Knight is heading to Switch on October 13, 2022.

The game previously debuted as an Apple Arcade exclusive, and we first heard about it in 2020. PQube published the title on other platforms, though DigiPen Game Studios will only be responsible for the Switch version.
