Trine Enchanted Edition likely won’t be hitting Wii U next month. Developer Frozenbyte told one gamer that the title “will most likely take until January”.

Update: I’m stupid! Nintendo confirmed last week that Mario Pinball Land will be releasing in North America tomorrow. This was included in the “Coming Soon” section of the most recent Nintendo Download report.


You know how these things work. The ESRB rates a classic GBA game for Wii U, and then Nintendo releases the title soon after in North America.

That’s probably what will be happening with Mario Pinball Land. The game just received its ESRB rating for Wii U, likely signaling its launch on the North American eShop tomorrow. We won’t know for sure until the official press release is published, but I’d say it’s pretty likely at this point!

Nintendo has another round of shop maintenance taking place on Monday. From 10 AM PT to 5:15 PM PT, the Wii U and 3DS eShops, Wii Shopping Channel, and DSi Shop will be unavailable.

Also, we’ll quickly mention that a small amount of Hyrule Warriors maintenance is taking place later today. That will happen between 4:50 PM PT and 6 PM PT.

Two new games will be available on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console next week. They are as follows:

Famicom Wars (Famicom, 514 yen)
Soccer (Famicom, 514 yen)

The games above are hitting the Japanese eShop on December 3.

Darksiders II is currently on sale on the eShop. It’s normally priced at $39.99, but you can purchase the title today for only $9.99.

Other Nordic Games titles – specifically Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy – are also being sold for the same price.

These deals are valid until December 2.

Zen Studios is releasing a new Marvel-themed pinball for Zen Pinball 2 next month. Players will be able to get their hands on a table based on Venom, which also features Spider-Man and Carnage.

Today, Image & Form announced that Steam Powered Giraffe is working on the soundtrack for SteamWorld Heist. The San Diego-based band will create all songs and in-game music.

Additionally, Steam Powered Giraffe will be featured in the game as a troupe that Captain Piper and her crew encounter in bars while recruiting fighters. Image & Form’s announcement also confirms that players will be able to collect sheet music containing Steam Powered Giraffe songs which can be played on a jukebox in Captain Piper’s ship.

SteamWorld Heist will be available in spring 2015. Above you’ll find a music video for “Prepare for Boarding”, the first song from SteamWorld Heist.
