Cyberpunk 2077 is using DLSS on Nintendo Switch 2

When Cyberpunk 2077 launches on Nintendo Switch 2 in a couple of months, it’ll be running with DLSS tech.
That news comes straight from the developer CD Projekt Red. The studio confirmed that the functionality is used for both handheld and docked play in both performance and quality modes.

We’ve seen a few Nintendo Directs over the last few weeks. Another one aired a couple of days ago, which focused entirely on Mario Kart World. The 15-minute presentation went over various modes, features, and more.
A good amount of the broadcast did go over information that was previously announced. However, we did get a look at a number of things, including tracks, items, Battle Mode, Free Roam, and more. You can catch up on all of the details here.

Nintendo discusses how Switch 2’s new Joy-Con changed during development

In a recent interview, key developers behind Nintendo Switch 2 discussed the making of the new magnetic Joy-Con, revealing that the SL/SR buttons are made of metal and how there wasn’t originally a button that releases the magnet.
Although it’s not something typically done with consoles, the SL/SR buttons are made with metal so that they stick to the magnet included with the Joy-Con. Hardware design lead Tetsuya Sasaki said Nintendo tried out different ideas first, and thanks to technology advancements, it was finally possible.

Nintendo on new Mario game for Switch 2: “Stay tuned”

Nintendo announced its first batch of games for Switch 2 recently, but Mario was missing in action – aside from Mario Kart. Some were surprised that the company did not show off a brand new 3D entry in the franchise. Outside of the bite-sized Bowser’s Fury adventure as part of the Super Mario 3D World re-release, there hasn’t been a new game since Super Mario Odyssey in 2017.
So where is Mario then? CNET posed that question to Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser in a recent interview. Bowser would only shared the following:

January 13: Nate the Hate has made more claims regarding upcoming third-party Nintendo Switch 2 games, including titles from Ubisoft and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Details were shared during a new podcast episode today.
As for Ubisoft’s Nintendo Switch 2 support, it’s claimed that we’ll be seeing Assassin’s Creed Mirage within the launch window. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is apparently planned as well, but will follow at a later date.

Marvelous has shared some interesting information about how the Nintendo Switch 2 physical release of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma works.
First, we should note that the entire game is on the cartridge. That means the Upgrade Pack is already present – you won’t need to download anything extra. Marvelous has decided to go with a 64GB to ensure that everything is included.
Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders start in the U.S. on April 24, price staying the same

Nintendo just provided the latest information about Switch 2 pre-orders for the United States. The console will be available to reserve starting on April 24, 2025.
Nintendo was originally planning on starting Switch 2 pre-orders stateside last Wednesday. However, that decision was reversed following news regarding tariffs.
Also confirmed is that the console’s price will not be changing – that means you can grab the system for $450 or the Mario Kart World bundle for $500. Game prices will be “unchanged at launch” as well, though “accessories will experience price adjustments”.

Star Wars Outlaws gets Nintendo Switch 2 release date

After it was announced earlier this month, Star Wars Outlaws now has a release date on Nintendo Switch. Ubisoft says the game will be ready to go on September 4, 2025.
Star Wars Outlaws was quietly announced during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. Originally, Ubisoft only gave a 2025 release window.

Spine, a cyberpunk action game featuring close-quarters gunfights, planned for Nintendo Switch 2

Nekki made it known today that its new game Spine is targeting release on Nintendo Switch 2. News regarding launch timing wasn’t shared.
Spine is a cinematic gun fu action game focusing on close-quarters gunfights. You’ll enter a cyberpunk world and play as rebellious street artist Redline, who’s searching for her captured brother alongside her sentient combat implant.
