The former is planned for launch day while the latter will be delivered between November 15 and December 15 (the game and Steelbook Edition contents included with it will be shipped separately to arrive by launch day).

North American fans can pre-order the special editions through Limited Run Games. Those in Europe can reserve the Standard Edition and Collector’s Edition through Clear River Games and other major retailers.

Here’s what’s included in both versions:

NetherWorld demo

There’s a Nintendo Switch demo on the way for the narrative-focused 2D action adventure game NetherWorld, SelectaPlay and Hungry Pixel has announced.

Technically the trial is already live in Europe via the official store page. However, we’re not quite seeing it in North America yet. That could change if the Nintendo eShop updates later today.

On social media, Limited Run Games provided a report on its Nintendo Switch-based Carbon Engine titles running on Switch 2 through backwards compatibility.

Currently a few of these releases are experiencing issues on the new hardware. However, Limited Run has identified the issues, shared its findings with Nintendo, and is now readying patches. Additionally, some new features have been teased – but as of now we don’t have the details. We’re also unsure when the patches will be ready, but they’ll “roll out in the coming weeks”.

The full notice from Limited Run reads:

Terrifier The ARTcade Game demo

A demo for Terrifier: The ARTcade Game will be available on Nintendo Switch, according to SelectaPlay and Relevo.

The announcement technically states that the demo is out now. However, we don’t see a page on the Nintendo eShop for it currently. When the demo does go live – which should be soon – fans will be able to get a taste of the blood-soaked retro beat ’em up inspired by the arcade classics of the 80s and 90s.

As fans continue to test out various Nintendo Switch games on Switch 2, it’s now come to light that WWE 2K18 – one of the previous system’s worst ports – is dramatically improved on the new console.

One of the biggest issues surrounding the game was performance. In just about every area, there were significant struggles. WWE 2K18 attempted to hit 30 frames per second on Nintendo Switch, but that just didn’t happen. Also, rather than skipping frames, the action itself would slow down. Needless to say, it wasn’t a good experience.

Metroid Prime 4 Switch 2

It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart outlining what Japanese gamers are looking forward to based on reader votes. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition appears for the first time. Also, following the launch of Mario Kart World, Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake is back on top.

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between May 21 and May 27.
