Puissance Nintendo posted its interview with Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai, which was conducted at E3 2013. Sakurai talked about how the Wii U and 3DS versions came to be, DLC, patching, why the Villager and Wii Fit Trainer made it in, and more. Sakurai’s comments can be found below.
Sakurai on how the new Smash Bros. came to be and differences between the two versions…
While the development of Kid Icarus: Uprising was at its end, Satoru Iwata came me propose to develop the new Smash Bros game, and asked me if he should be on 3DS or Wii U. We were arrived at a point where the series could not evolve too, and we wondered if the passage on handheld console was the solution. In the past, we have increased the number of characters and arenas, but this was not enough.
Rumor: Source casts doubt on The Crew, The Division for Wii U

Ubisoft announced two next-generation games at E3 2013 – The Crew and The Division – but neither was confirmed for Wii U. There was always hope of both titles hitting the console, however. Remember: it took ages for Ubisoft to confirm Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Watch_Dogs for Wii U.
Unfortunately, it’s sounding unlikely that Ubisoft will be putting The Crew and The Division on Wii U. When asked about the possibility of the two games coming to Nintendo’s new system, a source speaking with The Examiner said: “I’m not sure, but I seriously doubt it.”
We normally wouldn’t be keen on posting rumors from anonymous sources, but today’s speculation comes from a site that leaked details on The Crew prior to its reveal at E3 2013 earlier this month.

Ubisoft has opened some kind of website relating to Watch_Dogs.
The new “WeareData” page doesn’t say much. It does, however, contain the following: “Have you ever experienced the power of data? Be prepared for Watch_Dogs WeareData.”
Access the site here.
DayZ probably not coming to Wii U
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
DayZ will likely be appearing on consoles, with the game’s developer having taken interest in the PlayStation 4. As for Wii U? Well… a release on the system isn’t looking likely at the moment.
When asked about Wii U, creator Dean Hall said:
“I don’t know. I haven’t really looked into it much. I doubt it.”
Those words certainly cast doubt on the possibility of DayZ coming to Wii U.

Sonic Lost World’s Wii U multiplayer modes aren’t online
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Sonic Lost World will allow players to participate in online multiplayer… the 3DS version, that is. SEGA has confirmed that the Wii U’s multiplayer offerings won’t be online.
According to producer Takashi Iizuka:
“We’ll have different multiplayer modes on both Wii U and 3DS. On the Wii U, there’s booth cooperative and versus multiplayer. In cooperative play, Sonic will be using the Wii U GamePad and someone can be supporting Sonic in co-op with the Wii Remote. In versus mode, one player will be playing on the TV screen and the other player will be racing using the GamePad so you don’t have to have split screen. You both have your own screen and can race each other. The Wii U multiplayer is not on the Internet. It’s basically everyone sitting on the same couch. The 3DS for the first time we’re having 4-player versus racing over Wi-Fi and the Internet.”
It’s kind of odd knowing that Sonic Lost World’s 3DS version will be online, but the Wii U version won’t. SEGA must have its reasons!
