Wii U

Nintendo doesn’t typically have a large presence at the World Hobby Fair, and this year is no different. Only one game will be on display – Pikmin 3.

It would have been nice to see additional titles like Super Mario 3D World and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, but it’s better than nothing!

Kotaku has published its full interview with Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai. For the sake of full understand, we’re posting the full Q&A after the break.

Topics addressed by Sakurai include Mega Man’s inclusion in Smash Bros. (he wasn’t considered for previous games), balance, Final Smashes, and more. He also gave an update on his shoulder pain, which unfortunately isn’t any better.

“Definitely don’t count the Wii U out.” That’s the message from GameStop president Tony Bartel.

With new titles scheduled to arrive on Wii U this holiday such as Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 3D World, consumer interest will pick up.

According to Bartel:

“They are also launching several games later this year, so we expect to see a lot of interest from consumers as we head into the holidays.”
