Wii U

Nintendo has gone live with the English translation of the Iwata Asks: Game & Wario discussion. You can find six pages of talk about the Wii U game here. In addition to Satoru Iwata, Yoshio Sakamoto and a couple of other staffers participated in the conversation.

EA doesn’t have any games in development for Wii U. That includes FIFA 14, which would typically be the kind of game you would expect on a console.

It’s true that EA did put out FIFA 13 for the Wii U’s launch. But due to the title’s poor sales, this year’s release won’t be heading to the console.

An EA spokesperson told Eurogamer:

“Ten months ago FIFA 13 was a launch title on Wii U. Although the game featured FIFA’s award-winning HD gameplay and innovative new ways to play, the commercial results were disappointing. We have decided not to develop FIFA 14 on Wii U.”
