Wii U

During its NYCC 2012 panel, Marvel revealed that The Amazing Spider-Man is in the works for Wii U. The game was released earlier this year on Wii and other platforms.

Included in the Wii U version is all of the downloadable content made available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 up to this point – the Rhino Challenge Pack, the Oscorp Search and Destroy Pack, the Lizard Rampage Pack, and Stan Lee Adventure Pack.

On Wii U, players will be able to use the GamePad touch screen to navigate Osphone’s interface and map out a path through the city. Optional motion controls will be available as well.

The Amazing Spider-Man arrives on Wii U in Spring 2013.

Activision has confirmed a couple of things for the Wii U version of Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

First, the game won’t be running in native 1080p. The console will be able to “upconvert” the resolution though.

Activision also noted outright that the Nuketown 2025 map will be included in the Wii U game. It’ll apparently be available through pre-order much like the other versions.

Seeing some of these fighters in Nintendo costumes is incredibly bizarre… yet awesome at the same time.

– Play-calling entirely on the gamepad
– See basic formations, sets within them, plays to choose from
– “if you want to change from singleback to shotgun, all you have to do is press “shotgun”; no need to repeatedly tap the B or circle button to back all the way out.”
– It’s “all about speed”
– Gamepad displays a realtime view of line of scrimmage
– Use the touchscreen to redraw the play entirely if you want
– No longer restricted to preset hot routes
– Change defensive, pre-snap formations, zones, and routes
– Play the entire game on the tablet controller if you want
