These are the games of Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition

Japanese magazine CoroCoro has revealed the full set of games to be included in Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition. A total of six classic titles will be added to the disc.
The list in full:
Kirby’s Dream Land
Kirby’s Dream Land 2
Kirby’s Adventure
Kirby Super Star
Kirby’s Dream Land 3
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Although these games have only been confirmed for Japan, I can’t imagine the selection being any different in North America. This would be a slight upgrade in content compared to Super Mario All-Stars: Limited Edition, which featured four classics.

EA has two unannounced Wii U games in the works
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
EA is starting to get more specific with regard to its plans for Wii U.
The company has two unannounced titles in development for the platform. Right now it’s looking like they’ll be announced later this summer. EA label president Frank Gibeau has said that the company will “have a bigger line-up for Wii U than we did on the Wii.”
According to Gibeau:
“We’ve got a couple of more games in development for Wii U and we’ll have a bigger line-up for Wii U than we did on the Wii. It is the first next-generation platform coming out so we’re really supporting it. Just looking at E3 and where we’re at, we wanted to hold our fire a little bit on a couple of the other games that we’re working on. We’ll have more announcements this summer on the rest of the Wii U line-up. …You’ll hear more later this summer.”
Gibeau also spoke about the GamePad, stating that EA will “do some new, unique things with it on the Wii U controller and the second screen that we’re innovating on”.
Mass Effect 3 is one of the company’s games that will be taking advantage of the new controller.
“We’ll do some new, unique things with it on the Wii U controller and the second screen that we’re innovating on.”

Last week, Kirby’s Dream Collection Special Edition received a September 2012 in North America. Japan, on the other hand, is getting the package a couple of months earlier.
Kirby’s Dream Collection launches in Japan on July 19. That’s only a month away, so Nintendo should be providing details and screenshots soon.

A Dragon Quest X Wii hardware bundle is on its way to Japan.
Although not officially announced, Nintendo’s release calender lists “Dragon Quest X Wii System Bundle”. It’ll include a hardware system, a copy of the game, a black Classic Controller Pro, a Wii USB Memory card, and a ¥1000 Nintendo Prepaid card. Pricing details will be provided once the bundle is made official.
There’s also a second, non-hardware bundle planned for Japan which includes the game and a Wii USB Memory card. You can find the boxart for its packaging above.

Nintendo tried out Pikmin experiments on 3DS/DS, Miyamoto explains lack of online
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
Shigeru Miyamoto has shared new tidbits about Pikmin 3, including some interesting development revelations.
Before Pikmin 3 became a concrete idea, Nintendo tried out some experiments on the 3DS and DS. The game was then planned for Wii, but once Wii U rolled on in, Pikmin 3 was moved over to the new console.
Miyamoto has also explained the lack of online play for the title. He told IGN that “it would be very difficult to sync up” all of the Pikmin’s locations and movements, so it will support local multiplayer only.
Head past the break for direct-quotes on these topics and more.
Activision plans to support Wii U, Treyarch remaining coy
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
It was surprising to see that Activision didn’t announce any titles for Wii U at E3 2012. The only game confirmed for the console, Skylanders Giants, was mentioned casually in an interview following Nintendo’s press conference.
Even with the lack of reveals, fans can be rest assured that Activision is planning support for the console.
Activision Publishing boss Eric Hirshberg has said that they “take out time to get our ducks in a row before pulling any trigger.”
“We take out time to get our ducks in a row before pulling any trigger. We don’t have announcements today but we will be supporting Wii U.”
…we were there with second screen enhancements with Call of Duty Elite last year and one of the primary uses we’re finding comes through the tablet and through the smartphone.”
“People are using it as that sidecar as they’re playing… People are using it in that between games way that I think now you’re seeing that kind of rhetoric with the controller from Nintendo as well as the SmartGlass presentation from Microsoft. So it’s great that others are jumping on board and enhancing that idea but it’s something we were doing last year with Elite.”
