XSEED intends to release Senran Kagura Burst in North America this fall. It’s been confirmed that Europe will be getting the game as well, but early next year. The wait may be worth it though as Senran Kagura burst will be available as a physical release as well as downloadable.

Zen United announced plans today to publish Senran Kagura Burst across Europe. MAQL Europe, the European division of Japanese publisher Marvelous AQL, seems to be behind localization, though Zen United will handle distribution, PR and marketing.

– Breath Attack: powerful attack, explodes on impact
– Attack is more difficult to dodge than your average fireballs from Rathalos or Rathian
– Binding Attack: Uses its powerful arms to grab a Hunter’s entire body
– Players must repeatedly hit buttons to escape or you’ll end up taking huge damage
– Smash Attack: Goa Magara will also use its arms to try smashing Hunters
– Attack is powerful enough to change the landscape
– Dash Attack: Goa Magara will jump and charge towards you without any mercy
– Since it can fly, Goa Magara will also be performing these attacks from above
– Over time, Goa Magara’s perceptive ability increases
– This is indicated by its coloring that slowly turns from blue to purple as it increases
– Once it reaches a peak in its perceptive ability, Goa Magara transforms into its Feral Wyvern mode

Writing on Twitter, Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya posted a series of messages tackling the topics of sales and reviews.

Kamiya seems to believe that, when it comes to western gamers, they focus too much on these two elements. Both are used as ways to evaluate a title.

In Kamiya’s opinion, players should determine a game’s quality by experiencing it “rather than borrowing some numbers”.

“For foreign gamers, games that sell and don’t sell tend to be a hot topic… I wonder why they care so much about sales that it makes them choose what to play. It may be because (sales) numbers are the most obvious way to evaluate a game, and reviews seem to be another… I think that rather than borrowing some numbers to judge the quality of a game, you should decide by yourself.”
