Plenty of Wii U titles have supported downloadable content. However, indies using the Nintendo Web Framework have been out of luck – until now.

A new version of the tech, announced at GDC Europe earlier today, will provide eCommerce support. This will allow developers to monetize additional items such as DLC.

In Japan, more copies of Conception II will be available for the PlayStation Vita and the 3DS. Publisher Spike Chunsoft will send out 60,000 units for Vita and another 30,000 units for 3DS.

As far as the split goes, Siliconera points out that there are more games on Sony’s handheld geared toward the “otaku” userbase as opposed to the 3DS, which Conception II fits into. The original Conception was also a PSP-only release. Spike Chunsoft could be banking on consumers upgrading to Vita and supporting the sequel.
