Wii Virtual Console games are disappearing left and right. Nintendo of Europe previously announced seven titles which will be removed on March 31.
Nintendo of Japan is following their lead. According to the company’s website, three Sonic games will be leaving the Wii Shop Channel on March 30: Sonic 1, 2, and Sonic & Knuckles.
Nintendo hasn’t provided a reason as to why they’ll be removing the games.
Ahead of the launch of Kid Icarus: Uprising on Friday 23rd March, Nintendo 3DS owners now have exclusive access to the first part in a series of Kid Icarus Anime clips, entitled ‘Thanatos Rising’. It is available now via Nintendo Video and features the angel Pit and his battle against one of Medusa’s minions – all in glorious 3D!
Kid Icarus: Uprising begins with the return of the Queen of the Underworld, Medusa, and her Underworld Army. Pit, a heroic angel, with the help of Palutena, goddess of light and guardian of the human race, must combat the forces of darkness as he battles Medusa and her minions by air and by land.
We’re going to get Epic Mickey 2 news sooner rather than later, and it now seems as though the first information will be revealed in one week.
GameTrailers TV is teasing “a blowout of rather large proportions” for Warren Spector’s new project. The show will be debuting the first trailer and gameplay of the game which, based on previous clues, has to be some sort of sequel to Epic Mickey.
“A Blowout of Rather Large Proportions
GTTV will have the world exclusive reveal trailer and first gameplay anywhere of Warren Spector’s next yet-to-be-announced game. It’s going to be …notably significant.”
We should be getting followup reports at the end of the month. Nintendo Power’s next issue will likely focus on Epic Mickey 2, and Disney will be holding a conference to make an official announcement.
