Nintendo software producer and director Katsuya Eguchi on why Nintendo is keeping the basic Mii design from Wii to Wii U…

“Actually, the Miis that will be used on the Wii U are going to be the same as the ones on the 3DS. On the 3DS we tweaked [the design] a little bit. We added some features, and the Mii editor that’s on the 3DS is different from the one that’s on the Wii. Ultimately we’ll use those same Miis on the Wii U. Right now it looks the same as the ones on the Wii because we don’t have the ability to create Miis in the Wii U yet.”

The period to automatically receive a Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D soundtrack has ended, but you can still obtain a copy from Club Nintendo. The site has been updated once again, this time showing that fans who register the game still have a chance to receive it. However, it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“Thank you for your interest in this offer. All members who registered the game by 12:01am Pacific Time Tuesday, June 21, 2011 will receive the CD. Beyond this date, we will continue to send CDs to registrants on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last.”

I really feel like Skyward Sword is getting snubbed. Sure, perhaps it wasn’t the best game of E3, but no one is really acknowledging it or anything. I wasn’t at the trade show, though Austin seemed to greatly enjoy the game and the footage I saw had me impressed!

I suppose even Nintendo is interested in comparisons! The company posted the following image on their Twitter account, showing off the graphical upgrade in Ocarina of Time 3D:

Perhaps this would be a good time to ask who purchased the game so far. It’s nice that a lengthy, epic 3DS game is finally available to play.
