New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the first title to make use of the Super Guide. But what are the chances of the functionality being implemented into Super Mario Galaxy 2? Shigeru Miyamoto explains:
“Well, as far as the challenge of Super Mario Galaxy 2 is concerned, I think it’s going to be a really challenging game, but whether or not we are going to incorporate the Super Guide, I just cannot tell,” Miyamoto told us. “In general, wherever and whenever appropriate, I think we will want to incorporate that kind of thing, but I cannot commit to anything specific right now.”
Geoff Keighley is teasing some sort of Mario-related game for the holidays. Check out this mysterious message left on his Twitter account…
“Someone introduces himself as ‘It’s-a-me, Mario!’ in a big holiday game, and it’s not New Super Mario Bros Wii.”
Well, this is pretty odd! I honestly have no idea what Keighley is talking about, unless it’s that Mario arcade game. Charles Martinet said a few weeks back that he was recording voice work for a Mario game that isn’t New Super Mario Bros. Wii or Galaxy 2, but is Nintendo really preparing another title for the holidays? And if this was something obvious, wouldn’t Keighley have elaborated? Perhaps it’s a WiiWare title? I hope we find out soon!

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, the DS’s first, true sandbox-type game, shipped earlier this year and was met with much critical acclaim. There was one significant aspect that was missing in the title, however – an open-world 3D environment. Rockstar’s Dan Houser told Nintendo Power that the team never really considered creating a 3D GTA experience for the handheld. Yet, here we are, a few months later, with C.O.P. The Recruit, a title that most gamers thought Chinatown Wars would look like. C.O.P. certainly is technically astonishing, but does the gameplay match the title’s visuals?

Treyarch and Activision finally bring 2007’s “Game Of The Year” to the Wii. Staying true to the Call Of Duty formula, the title places you in the fatigues of mainly two soldiers; a Sergeant from the USMC, and a British SAS operative. The games acts (levels) will have you switching back and forth between the two soldiers; offering you a different view of their distinctive story lines and the war they fight.
