In the case of Overkill, making the game “extreme” will be beneficial to the title’s overall vibe. After all, the game should be scary considered that you’ll be taking on hoards of undead enemies.

Even though Okami is considered many to be one of the better games on the PS2, the title was considered to be a failure as far as sales go. In spite of the poor sales, Capcom decided to give the title new life on Wii. Most believed that the same situation with sales on the PS2 would happen again on the Wii, but the latest sales figures from Capcom might indicate otherwise. Since its release, Okami has sold about 210,000 units in the United States with an additional 90,000 copies sold in Europe. By no means has Okami sold as well as Grand Theft Auto or Smash Bros., but it’s probably not as terrible as most had originally assumed.

The characters look pretty identical to me! But remember: None of your bells from the DS version of the game will transfer over. Which, sadly, means that you will have to work for Tom Nook…Again.

– You’ll find hikers and “the dead from entirely different eras, like centuries-gone Tibetan monks, for example”
– C button on nunchuck to run, z button to flip 180 degrees
– D-Pad used to go into a first-person view
– A button to confirm commands, open doors, etc.
– Some motion controls in the game as well
– “There is a battle system, but it has nothing to do with guns. Rather, as you explore, ghosts appear out of a black, swirling wind that hovers toward you. This is a representation of the spirit world or Bardo and you can go there simply by holding the B-Trigger. Inside, you will see a clearer view of the entities, which emit symbols from their centers. You must first point to these symbols — they’re actually written prayers or rituals — with the Wii remote to get a lock-on and then make the signs shown on-screen with your controller. If you’re successful, the souls will be freed, so you’re not so much killing them as helping them find the true afterlife.”
