As the rollout for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 begins, Konami issued a new launch trailer. Remember that the package includes Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid (Including VR Missions/Special Missions), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version), Metal Gear (NES/FC version), and Snake’s Revenge.

Here’s some additional information:

Original (10/20): Suika Game, which has made waves in Japan on the Switch eShop this year, is now available on Switch worldwide – just without English support.

At first glance, this seems like something that’d easily pass by without much attention. And actually, that’s what happened with Suika Game when it first came to Switch at the end of 2021 in Japan. But after streamers and influences started spreading the word this year, it became a hit. As we previously reported, Suika Game was the best-selling game on the Japanese eShop in September.

A new round of gameplay has come in for A Boy and His Blob: Retro Collection, which came to Switch this week. Fans can get a look at the different titles in the package.

We’ve got more information about the release in the following overview:

Publisher Ratalaika Games and developer HitherYon Games will release Murder Is Game Over on Switch this week, the two sides announced today. Look for it on October 27, 2023.

Murder Is Game Over is a pixel-art point-and-click adventure game. Players will follow the journey of Detective Guy and his trusty sidekick Cleo the dog as they investigate the mysterious death of a fabulously wealthy game designer.

Following the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, we’ve put together a new guide naming all Badges and their locations in the game.

You can use Badges one at a time, and it adds a new ability to your arsenal for as long as it’s equipped. You can swap them out before and after levels, so you’re able to tailor the abilities you want to fit the needs of the level you’re playing. Finding the Badges is actually the easy part: every single Badge except for one is purchased from a Poplin Shop or given to you throughout the story. We’ve managed to round up every single Badge, and you can find a list of each one’s functions below. We won’t discuss any final boss spoilers (nor any details about the final level), but we will discuss the final Badge’s function – if you’d rather keep that a surprise, bookmark this page and come back later!

Here’s an official overview with more information about the game:

[Review] Crymachina

System: Switch
Release date: October 24, 2023
Developer: FuRyu
Publisher: NIS America

Although not the biggest company out there, developer FuRyu has arguably made a little more of a name for themselves over recent years, bringing titles such as Monark and The Caligula Effect to the Switch with mixed reception. Crymachina is the latest game from the developer, an action RPG that acts as a sort of spiritual successor to their previous attempt at the genre, Crystar. Unfortunately, although Crymachina has a strong, well-developed narrative, its combat fails to make a lasting impression, making it another middling attempt that may be best avoided.

Those looking to get a closer look at Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 playable character Jenny and her moveset can now do so with the game’s latest spotlight trailer.

One of her main mechanics is creating openings with strong projectiles, which provide cover and catch opponents off guard. While she doesn’t excel at combos, she can attack enemies from afar. Also as positives, Jenny has fantastic recovery and is one of the heavier characters in the game. Ultimately Jenny is a well-rounded defense character with different moves at her disposal.

Today, publisher Sometimes You and developer Nikolai Usachev announced plans to bring Fusion Paradox to Switch. It will be available on November 1, 2023.

Fusion Paradox is a scrolling shooter and action roguelike game in which players are tasked with freeing the Agency from the forces and anomalies that have captured it. Further information can be found in the following overview:

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 won’t be perfect when it releases this week on Switch and other platforms, but the good news is that Konami has confirmed plans for post-launch updates. It seems that all of the games will be touched up in one way or another to address issues.

For Metal Gear and Snake’s Revenge on NES, players may find that the timing of some subtitles doesn’t match up with the audio, but a patch will address this. Different visual options will also be added, including a CRT scanline filter, and the ability to change the pixel aspect ratio.
