Animal Crossing seems to want to celebrate the anniversary of Super Mario Run too by giving all players a free Mario hat in their mailbox. The hat is already in your mailbox as soon as you log onto the game, you just need to collect it. This gift will be available to players until January 14th, so you’ll have a good chunk of time to pick it up.

Apptopia has offered up new data about the performance of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Between iOS and Android, the mobile title is said to have been downloaded over 25 million times and has achieved $17 million.

Apptopia cautions that the new Animal Crossing title will not match the successes of Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes. It believes the lack of a multiplayer mode is key, as that tends to drive revenue for other mobile releases.

The first ever Retweet event for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was a success and all players can now claim 50 Leaf Tickets as a Special Log-in Bonus. You have until January 13th to claim these tickets.

When Nintendo started the retweet event for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp last week, the company was seeking a total of 100,000. That goal was quickly smashed.

To celebrate the success, Nintendo has significantly increased the reward. Originally, 20 Leaf Tickets were going to be given to players. It will now be 50 instead.

Nintendo has just announced that the first major update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be coming soon to the game. The update will add two new feature which are Gardening and Clothes Crafting.

The first new feature is Gardening, which will allow you to grow different types of flowers in a brand new area that will be added to your campsite. Any friends that you have added to your friend’s list, can help you water your garden and you can do the same vice versa.

The second new feature coming is Clothes Crafting. Now you may have seen in your crafting menu that Clothes Crafting would be coming to the game soon but how does it work in this new update? It looks like you be able to call the Able Sisters and they can craft you tops, pants, shoes, and more.

Finally the update will including a certain character to encounter in the game. Can you Animal Crossing fans guess who it might be?

Nintendo just kicked off a “Retweet Rally” for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp a few hours ago. Fans on Twitter were asked to retweet a certain message on various official Animal Crossing Twitter accounts.

In less than half a day, the goal has been reached. The target of 100,000 retweets was surpassed on the Japanese Twitter account alone, where the total has surpassed 250,000.

Once the event ends sometime after December 12, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp players will be given 20 Leaf Tickets for free.

Antonio, Raddle, Phoebe and Bluebear have just become available to invite over to your campsite in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. They also have furniture they like added to the game too for you to craft. In addition to these new animals it seems a mini event is happening where doing requests for animals will make their friendship grow more quickly, this will last until December 10th.

At the end of October, The Wall Street Journal shared some rumored information claiming that one reason for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp’s delay was due to the game seeing an overhaul “at least once during the development process to ensure quality.” Liam Robertson from Unseen64 apparently has more on the situation, and dug up details about how a much different title was initially planned.

Development on the Animal Crossing game for mobile apparently began in early 2016. At the time, what Nintendo had been cooking up was said to be more simplistic.
