A new update has been announced for Tales of Symphonia Remastered, bringing the game up to version 1.3. The update, scheduled to go live tomorrow, is relatively minor, fixing a few noteworthy issues that players may have encountered whilst playing the game. Full details can be found below:

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R Leone Abbacchio

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R has just revealed Leone Abbacchio as a new DLC character.

Leone will be kicking off the game’s second season pass. He’s representing Part 5: Golden Wind, but we’ll also be seeing two more characters from Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable and Part 8: JoJolion.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot 23rd World Tournament DLC

Original (7/13): Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 today properly unveiled The 23rd World Tournament as the fifth major DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. A release date hasn’t been shared, but it’s apparently “coming soon”.

The new DLC takes place before the events depicted in the main game with a scenario based on the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai from the original Dragon Ball anime. It’ll feature ground-based combat with knock down counts and the risk of losing by ringout.

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster physical

With Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster set to launch on Switch in less than two months, we thought now would be the best time to clarify what’s happening in terms of the physical release. Things are a bit all over the places across regions.

In North America, it actually looks like there won’t be any boxed version at all. The obvious sign here is that there aren’t any retail listings. We did reach out to Bandai Namco in hopes of receiving official clarification, but we didn’t hear back. Regardless, don’t expect to see it in store shelves in the states.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Switch Online Game Trial

The next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial has been revealed, and members will soon be able to play Dragon Ball FighterZ at no extra cost.

If you’re a subscriber, the full title can be experienced for free. An Expansion Pack membership is not required. Save data can also be transferred to the full version.

Bandai Namco July 2023 Switch sale Dragon Ball Z Kakarot

Bandai Namco has started up a late July 2023 Switch eShop sale with multiple games at their lowest prices yet, including .hack//G.U. Last Recode, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus, and more. Over two dozen titles are included.

Here’s the full lineup:

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 isn’t done with support for the game, with Bandai Namco and Omega Force today unveiling plans for multiple DLC characters. The news was just shared at One Piece Day 2023.

The Battle of Onigashima Pack is up first in September 2023. Onigashima Final Battle Luffy will be up first, and he can call on Gear Five when using special techniques. Two other characters will be included as well.

Bandai Namco have released a free summer update for Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits, adding a variety of new content to the game. 11 new fish have been added, selected by experts from collaborating aquariums, and a new Phantom Stage has also been added to showcase the White Armored Orca, which comes from the arcade version of the game.

Ahead of its release on Switch in a couple of months, Bandai Namco have shared a new trailer for Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster. The “Story from the Guardians” trailer gives us a brief overview of the story of the two titles included in the collection, as well as another look at the card-based combat system.

Baten Kaitos name

The Baten Kaitos series is set to return with new Switch versions later this year, but you might be interested to know that Bandai Namco wasn’t originally on board with the name.

Yasuyuki Honne, the director of the series, recently reflected on Baten Kaitos in light of its comeback. He revealed that “there was a lot of opposition”, but the name got passed through in the end.
