A few days ago, Funimation teased a new app for Switch. The news has now been officially announced with a release happening tomorrow.

The app will be offered in United States and Canada, with the United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico, and other countries on the way. It will feature new curations, a “My Anime” page, anime launch schedule, and more.

FUNimation announced today that it has acquired the rights for Koei Tecmo’s Samurai Warriors anime. Fans can watch the first episode on January 11, and the show will join FUNimation’s Winter 2015 Simulcast season.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Based on the hit video game, this dramatic re-imagining of one of Japan’s most revered historical periods drops audiences into the middle of an epic battle royal. Great warriors and dashing rogues from cherished Japanese tales come to life in this rousing series. Follow along as your favorite hacking, slashing characters from the video game meet once more on the field of battle. FUNimation has nabbed the distribution rights for the Bayonetta: Bloody Fate full-length feature film in the United States in Canada.

A “sneak peek” of the English dub of Bayonetta: Bloody Fate will be shown at the Anime Expo early next month. Additionally, director Fuminori Kizaki will be on hand at the expo on July 5 for a special Q&A.
