Capcom has issued a new update for Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection.
A few small additions, adjustments, and fixes are included. Highlights include a ‘MegaMan Voice’ option in the Language Settings, a new black border, and a change in the online battle Custom Screen time limit to 30 seconds.

After six different entries, Mega Man Battle Network came to an end in 2005 (or 2006 for fans in the west). Masakazu Eguchi, who worked on the series since the beginning, briefly commented on the decision to finish things out in a recent interview with 4Gamer.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection director Masakazu Eguchi has briefly discussed the origins of the release.
Eguchi spoke about how it came to be in an interview with 4Gamer. It seems that the project was in the works for about two years, and while Capcom already decided on things internally, it sounds like fans’ interest also helped make things a reality.

Capcom has announced a sales milestone for Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, with it already selling over one million copies. That applies to all platforms worldwide.
Capcom didn’t provide a breakdown of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection’s performance by region. However, we do know that as of April 23, total sales of physical copies on Switch in Japan stand at 58,717 units. Other regions and digital sales were undoubtedly big factors.

Capcom Spotlight presentation announced for March 9

A Capcom Spotlight presentation will air on March 9, Capcom just announced. It will kick off at 2:30 PM PT / 5:30 PM ET / 10:30 PM in the UK / 11:30 PM in Europe. Expect it to last about 26 minutes.
The event will cover “updates and new information about our upcoming games.” The lineup includes Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, Ghost Trick, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Resident Evil 4, and Exoprimal are confirmed for the show. Those first three are all Switch titles.

Original (12/13): Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection now has a release date on Switch. It’ll arrive for the console on April 14, 2023, Capcom announced today.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection was first unveiled during a Nintendo Direct this past June. We knew it was slated for 2023, but a specific date wasn’t provided until now.

Thanks to IGN, we have some of the first gameplay from Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. Seven minutes of footage is available.
The video starts out by showing 3D MegaMan.EXE, who will guide players through the game selection screen and gallery. We then get a brief look at the first three titles in the package. Of course, everything is shown in Japanese here.

Capcom provided an update on Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection at the Tokyo Game Show today, and the big news shared is that online functions are planned. In addition to online battles, it will be possible to trade Chips with others.
Another element was also introduced. In the collection, a 3D MegaMan.EXE will guide you through the game selection screen and gallery, complete with voiced reactions.
