Miitomo is offering a special bonus for users who have upgraded to the latest version. By purchasing the standard 1,000 coins ($0.99), users will receive a bonus 4,000 coins for free. This bonus is only available once per user, but it also doesn’t appear to have an expiration date.

Aside from the new Super Mario Run collaboration, Miitomo has added in several new items. The lineup includes:

– High-collared woolen coat
– Pearls & flowers hairclip
– Floral print dress
– Cropped jacket + grid-check tee
– Cardigan + striped tee
– Beaded moccasins
– Leather briefcase backpack

Items can be obtained using Miitomo coins in Miitomo Shop.

Miitomo has featured various Nintendo collaborations since launching earlier this year. Today, the latest one went live. Users will find new activities centered around Super Mario Run.

Three new snowman-themed Miitomo rewards have been added to My Nintendo. The Snowman Brooch costs 100 Platinum Points, and the Snowman Long-Sleeve Tee and Cosy Snowman Leggings cost 150 Platinum Points each. All three rewards are available until February 28th, 2017.

Nintendo recently made it known that a new update was planned for Miitomo. The time has now come, as version 2.1.0 is out now.

The patch notes are as follows:

– You’ll be able to teach Sidekick Mii characters how to answer questions.
– Sidekick Central will be added. This is a place where you can share your sidekick Mii characters’ answers with other users.
– Certain emoji in your Mii characters’ answers will trigger sound effects.

Miitomo has updated with a new Miitomo Drop stage, “‘Tis the season! Happy Holidays #3”.

Available items include:

– Holiday wreath hat
– Holiday tree suit
– Winter-holiday skirt
– Ugly Santa sweater

Users can select Miitomo Drop stages from the Shop tab. Miitomo coins or game tickets are needed to play.

“Out of this world! Futuristic Fashion” is the returning stage theme. They provide the following:

– Pressure suit helmet (set)
– Pressure suit (set)
– Space shuttle
– Saturn prismatic pin
– Galactic parka
– Galactic shorts
– Galactic tights
– Galactic sneakers
– Planet Earth hood
– Alien-life tee
– Invading UFO skirt
– Alien-abduction tights

These stages and items are available until December 4 at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET.

Nintendo brought out a major Miitomo update last month, but another one is on the way. It will encompass the following:

– You will be able to teach Sidekick Mii charaters how to answer questions
– “Sidekick Central,” a place where you can share your Sidekick Mii characters’ answers with other users, will be added
– Emoji in your Mii characters’ answers will trigger sound effects
– Various performance improvements

Nintendo asks users to “wait just a little longer for this update”.
