Several new discounts have been added to the North American website. Mario Tennis and Wrecking Crew rewards are included in the Platinum category while the Gold offers are for Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and NES Open Tournament.

The full lineup is as follows:

Platinum

20% discount on Mario Tennis (Wii U) – 200 Platinum Points
20% discount on Wrecking Crew (Wii U) – 100 Platinum Points

Gold

30% discount on Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (Wii U) – 20 Gold Points
30% discount on NES Open Tournament (Wii U / 3DS) – 20 Gold Points

All of these discounts are located on My Nintendo here.

Earlier today, we heard that Nintendo started to send out invitations to select My Nintendo members for a hands-on Switch event. Now we have additional information about the locations and more.

First, the lineup of confirmed cities and their dates are as follows:

New York – January 13 – 15
Washington, D.C. – February 10 – 12
Chicago – February 17 – 19
Los Angeles – February 24 – 26
San Francisco – March 3 – 5

You’ll notice that each city has opportunities available for three days. Nintendo says Friday and Saturday are invite-only, while “Sunday is open to the public on a first-come, first served basis and no registration is required.” Those who attend can also bring along one guest.

Nintendo has started to send out emails to select My Nintendo members in the United States about an opportunity to try out Switch prior to launch.

The message states that another email from Eventbrite will be coming soon, which will have “full details” about the event and opportunity to register. Tickets will be provided “on a first come, first served basis”.

It’s unclear what the criteria is to be sent an invitation. Your location likely plays a role, however.

We’ve included the full email message below.

My Nintendo began to display the amount of points that are expiring on your account back in September. With the recent website refresh, it has now been extended further.

In the past, you’d only be able to see how many points were expiring over the next three months. This has now been doubled. Along with the current month, users can see the amount of points that will be leaving their accounts five months beyond.

Visit this page for a look any points that may be expiring as we head into the new year.

Three new snowman-themed Miitomo rewards have been added to My Nintendo. The Snowman Brooch costs 100 Platinum Points, and the Snowman Long-Sleeve Tee and Cosy Snowman Leggings cost 150 Platinum Points each. All three rewards are available until February 28th, 2017.

A new My Nintendo video was recently shared across Europe that reveals some interesting elements about the upcoming integration with Super Mario Run.

Just like Miitomo, players will be able to earn points on the membership service. It’s almost certain that you’ll be completing certain missions in order to earn Super Mario Run Platinum Points (which combine with all Platinum Points you earn).

The video also shows Rally Tickets as an upcoming reward on My Nintendo. Tickets are needed to play Toad Rally in Super Mario Run. Aside from earning them on My Nintendo, you can also earn these in different ways like finishing worlds or through bonus games in your kingdom.

Another Super Mario Run reward is depicted showing Toad. However, its purpose isn’t entirely known just yet. We should be finding out when the game launches on December 15.

My Nintendo received a substantial update yesterday in a few ways. The site itself was refreshed with a new look, and some new rewards were added in. We have a couple of extra things to point out that may have gone unnoticed.

First, you can now earn 50 extra Platinum Points. You can do so by clicking on your Mii three different times (on three different pages). The first two times you find your Mii, you’ll earn 10 points, and another 30 for the final time.

Flipnote Studio 3D has also returned, and costs 200 Platinum Points. It carries no expiration date, so the reward won’t be leaving My Nintendo anytime soon.

One other very small but neat detail by the way: you can click on a button on the missions page to collect all points at once.

Aside from today’s new 3DS theme and orchestra videos, My Nintendo has also added in discounts for a pair of Zelda titles. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for Wii U / New 3DS and Zelda: Skyward Sword for Wii U are 30 percent off.

A Link to the Past will set you back 240 Platinum Points. Meanwhile, Skyward Sword is 50 Gold Points. Both will last until March 2.

Earlier today, My Nintendo added a new Zelda 30th anniversary theme in Japan. Get a look at it below.

The My Nintendo website has been given a new look. The changes are mostly aesthetic, featuring your Mii performing various activities (such as playing the 3DS or fishing) instead of merely pacing around. It also highlights more than just the My Nintendo rewards, such as having easy links to Pokemon and Miitomo’s websites. Unfortunately, the change does seem to have removed the Platinum coins that could be picked up each week by visiting the site.
