A new Wii U introduction trailer for Pokken Tournament has come online. We’ve posted it below.

It’s official: Sceptile is joining the roster in Pokken Tournament. A newly-released trailer for the game confirms the character’s appearance, which you can see below.

Also confirmed are two more support characters. Electrode and Farfetch’d, who were previously rumored, will be filling in these roles.

Last week, it was announced that this Thursday a new fighter plus new support Pokemon would be revealed for Pokken Tournament. However, it seems that we already know who that new fighter is going to be. An image was published today which shows Pokemon variety show Pokenchi presenter Shoko Nakagawa playing the game. In the background, a poster is visible which shows that Sceptile is a playable character and that Electrode and probably Farfetch’d (although it’s hard to tell since the poster is so small) are two new support Pokemon.

As always with images like this there’s a chance that it could be photoshopped so don’t take this as a 100% confirmation yet, however it does seem pretty likely. We will know for sure on Thursday.

Pokken Tournament was shown during the Nintendo Directs in all three regions on Thursday. But in Japan, Nintendo shared an extra piece of interesting news – aside from the confirmed release date.

Consumers in Japan will be able to purchase a bundle when Pokken Tournament launches in a few months. Nintendo didn’t elaborate on the specifics, but it’ll definitely include a Wii U console and a copy of the game.

Pokken Tournament’s Japanese release is scheduled for March 18.
