The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

Best-selling games US Switch April 2024

New data from Circana gives us a look at the best-selling games of April 2024 specifically on Switch.

Princess Peach: Showtime comes out as the top seller for a second straight month. Hogwarts Legacy is the only non-Nintendo title on the list – unless you count Minecraft, though the Big N has some involvement there on Switch as well.

Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of April 2024.

As far as Switch games go, it’s a bit of a slow month. MLB The Show does appear at #6 and Hogwarts Legacy is at #9, but those are multiplatform titles. The earliest Nintendo charts is at #15 with Princess Peach: Showtime.

Paper Mario Thousand Year Door sales UK

The latest UK software sales for the week ending May 25, 2024 is now available and it includes the debut of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

Nintendo’s RPG managed to come out on top in its first week – and that’s only going off of physical sales. Based on reports, it sold more than the Super Mario RPG remake. Opening week sales are said to be more or less identical to Paper Mario: The Origami King.

Switch sales surpass DS

Switch has overtaken DS to become the best-selling gaming system ever in Japan. That’s according to the latest data from Famitsu.

Earlier today, the outlet reported that Switch sold another 40,000 units. The console’s overall total now sits at 32,903,701 units. To compare, the DS sold 32,864,129 units total in Japan. Switch secured the record during its 377th week on the market.

Little Kitty, Big City sales

May 13: Little Kitty, Big City seems to be off to a good start with Double Dagger Studio recently announcing the game’s first sales milestone.

In its first 48 hours, the title surpassed 100,000 copies sold. While not stated specifically, we can assume that applies to all platforms combined worldwide.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending May 18, 2024 is now available.

There isn’t too much excitement this time around with many of the games holding on to their positions. EA Sports FC 24 is still at the top. If you’re looking for Switch exclusives, Super Mario Bros. Wonder only falls one spot from #5 to #6.
