Square Enix sends out Kingdom Hearts-related survey

Square Enix has started sending out a new survey for the Kingdom Hearts franchise. It’s notable because fans can provide feedback about what they’d like to see and what they want to see for the series’ future. Square Enix teases at the beginning of the survey, “The more you share with us, the more great stuff you’ll see from us!”
Topics found in the survey include players’ past experiences with Kingdom Hearts, their attitudes, what they enjoyed, what they didn’t enjoy, how they feel about the Disney aspect of the game, and more. You can take the survey here.

New Chrono Trigger unlikely at the moment
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 5 Comments
Chrono Trigger will be celebrating its 20th anniversary next year. Wouldn’t it be great if Square Enix were to do something new with IP… like a new game, maybe? Well, don’t count on that happening.
In a “Final Fantasy Go There Special Interview” conducted by Square Enix Members Japan, the company’s Kitase Yoshinori pointed out that creating a Chrono Trigger sequel would be a big hurdle. Toriyama Motomu also mentioned how contacting Yuji Horii and Hironobu Sakaguchi would be necessary if it were to be made. To conclude, Yoshida Naoki said that a new Chrono Trigger would seem quite unlikely to happen as of now.

Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 17 Comments
Murdered: Soul Suspect is one of many third-party titles not planned for Wii U. GameSpot asked Airtight Games chief creative officer Matt Brunner about why we won’t be seeing it on Nintendo’s console, and was offered a concise and honest answer.
He said:
“In all honesty, all the Wii U games I’ve ever played, the only good ones are the ones that are made specifically for [the Wii U]. And this just doesn’t fit.”
Murdered: Soul Suspect will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in June.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2 sells through nearly 80% of initial stock
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 3 Comments
Dragon Quest Monsters 2 sold 443,656 copies in its first week on the Japanese market. Media Create says this resulted in a 78.65% sell-through rate.
Despite Dragon Quest Monsters 2’s initial success, it hasn’t quite reached the same heights as the first Dragon Quest Monsters 3DS remake. When Square Enix released the previous DQM title for Nintendo’s portable, it sold 513,183 copies in its first week for a 93.96% sell-through.
Of course, we should maintain some perspective here. At the end of the day, there’s no denying that Dragon Quest Monsters 2 has gotten off to a fast start and Square Enix is likely pleased with its performance.
