Original: Did you purchase the Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Three Houses? Are you having trouble starting the game? You’ll be happy to hear that it isn’t an isolated incident, and Nintendo is aware of the issue.
Nintendo has announced that it will distribute the latest system update for Switch later today. It is intended to correct the aforementioned issue.
We’ll report back on when it’s live, and if the update happens to include anything else.
3DS update out now (version 11.11.0-43)

Another new firmware update for 3DS update is now available. Nintendo has just started distribution of version 11.11.0-43.
Nintendo hasn’t published the patch notes yet, but we’re not expecting any major additions or changes. In fact, things have stayed the same since 2015. Previous updates since then have involved “improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments”.

Wii U update out now (version 5.5.4)

Out of nowhere, Nintendo has released a new update for Wii U. Version 5.5.4 is now live for all system owners worldwide.
Nintendo has yet to publish any notes about today’s firmware upgrade. That being said, it likely falls in line with previous versions. That means the following: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”.
Prior to today, Wii U’s last update was in September 2018. The system hasn’t received any notable feature additions since 2014.

Switch update out now (version 8.1.0)

The latest system update has just gone live for Switch. Starting today, Nintendo is offering version 8.1.0.
Like the previous firmware change, this one doesn’t appear to be overly exciting on the surface level. Nintendo says the following of the update: “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.”

3DS update out now (version 11.10.0-43)

Nintendo is offering the latest firmware update for 3DS. Version 11.10.0-43 is live, of which Nintendo states: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”.
This is the first 3DS update since the end of 2018. The patch notes have generally remained the same though, with the latest major upgrade having been pushed to users way back in 2015.

When Nintendo prepares a new Switch system update, it’s sometimes accompanied by a related update for the Joy-Con. That’s happened again with version 8.0.0.
It’s never clear what exactly goes into these controller update, but it’s still worth doing. Head on over to system settings, then the “Controller and Sensors” tab, and finally “Update Controllers”. You should be all set after going through the brief process.

Update: Full patch notes added below. You can now sort software on the Home Menu, you can transfer individual game save data between systems, new icons have been added, and more.

A new firmware update for Switch is now available. Version 7.0.1 just went live for all users.
Nintendo’s explanation regarding today’s update is a small one. The company states that a specific issue has been addressed in which Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee couldn’t connect to Pokemon GO if the game software was closed after pairing with the app.
Switch version 7.0.0 was distributed in January. It added New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe icons and additional language support.

Earlier today, Nintendo issued a new firmware update for Switch. Something that the company didn’t mention is that the Joy-Con themselves have an update as well.
After installing version 7.0.0, head on over to the system settings. Visit the “Controllers and Sensors” tab, then head down to “Update Controllers”. That’s it.
Unfortunately, Nintendo never actually says what’s involved with the Joy-Con updates. Still, you might as well ensure that everything is in order.
