Blasphemous II update 1.1.0

Blasphemous II just got its first update on Switch, with the game moving up to version 1.1.0.

Team17 and The Game Kitchen says that the patch is based on player feedback. Lots of adjustments have been made along with a ton of bug fixes.

You can find the full patch notes below. However, keep in mind that they include spoilers.

Dredge The Pale Reach DLC

Today, Team17 and Black Salt Games unveiled brand new DLC for Dredge dubbed The Pale Reach. This is the first expansion for the game.

The Pale Reach will “introduce players to a brand-new biome which will require additional equipment capable of tackling its treacherous and icy expanse. They will need to trawl freezing depths and traverse crystalline canyons to follow in the footsteps of a doomed expedition lost to time, while hunting for 11 new fish and crab species, and their aberrated counterparts.”

Team17 and Black Salt Games have been steadily releasing content for Dredge since the game’s release. The Iron Rig, the first piece of paid DLC for the game, was set to launch before the end of 2023, but has now been delayed to 2024.

Dredge 1.3.0 update boat customization

Dredge just got a new 1.3.0 update that includes boat customization.

Players can now customize their craft by speaking to the new “Painter” character found in the starting area, who will let them choose a flag for their vessel and a new lick of paint. They can then search the seas for additional items to spruce up their trawler while hunting for 13 new twisted crustaceans, whose capture will unlock even more customization options.

Golf With Your Friends gains Peaceful Pines, Fairytale Fables Pack DLC

Golf With Your Friends players now have the opportunity to access even more new content with premium DLC packs, Peaceful Pines and Fairytale Fables Pack.

Peaceful Pines is a new course nestled in the heart of an idyllic woodland. It includes 18 brand new holes where players are whisked away to an enchanted forest littered with ancient runes, and grants access to everything from crocodiles and snakes to natural mounts and soothing slopes.

Blasphemous II review

System: Switch
Release date: August 24, 2023
Developer: The Game Kitchen
Publisher: Team17

Blasphemous was a smash hit when it released in 2019, two years after a highly successful Kickstarter campaign. Two years after the first game wrapped up with The Wounds of Eventide DLC, developer The Game Kitchen is back with this direct sequel. At this point you probably know if the Soulslike Metroidvania genre is one you enjoy, and Blasphemous II won’t be changing your mind. However, it stands out from the crowd and is a marked improvement on the original game, and one I would definitely recommend that you pick up if you’re on the fence.
