Upfall Studios

Leoful and Upfall Studios have announced a new partnership on a physical version of the turn-based dungeon crawler Quest of Dungeons, which will be happening in Asia. All copies will include a reversible cover with never-seen-before artwork.

Pre-orders begin on March 26. The game itself will be available on April 13.

The Switch version of Quest of Dungeons has another update. Upfall Studios patched the game to version 1.0.2.

Today’s update involves a couple of things. First, video capture is now support. A tentative fix has also been implemented to address a freeze bug returning from the home menu / sleep mode.

Upfall Studios has pushed out a new update for the Switch version of Quest of Dungeons. It offers a smattering of fixes and improvements.

The full patch notes are below:

– Fixed bug causing crash in Custom game mode with 110×110 floors
– Minimap can now be closed by pressing the “-” button again, B still applies
– Improved navigation in main menu options, some menus could be a bit “laggy” when closing
– Improved overall save times
– Fixed credits glitch
– Fixed main menu animation artifact

Quest of Dungeons has been out on the Japanese Switch eShop for a month now, and it’ll soon make its way to western shores. Developer Upfall Studios has confirmed to Nintendo Life that the game would be released both on the North American and European eShop next week, on September 14th. It’ll cost $8.99 / €8.99 / £7.99, respectively.

Quest of Dungeons is making the jump to Switch after previously being made for Wii U and 3DS. It won’t be just a straight port, however. Upfull Studios is including new content.

On Switch, Quest of Dungeons will feature a new Mansion with “a couple more different themes and sprites.” The developer is also packing in a new Feats system to track Achievements. Other optimizations, tweaks, and changes are in as well.

Quest of Dungeons will be out on the Japanese Switch eShop next week, and in the west soon. Pricing will be set at $8.99.

Quest of Dungeons has already appeared on both Wii U and 3DS. Next week, it’s joining Nintendo’s latest platform as well.

A listing on the Japanese eShop shows that Quest of Dungeons will release on August 10 for 800 yen. We expect that an overseas launch will be taking place soon as well.

Original (9/19): Quest of Dungeons finally launches on the eShop next week. It’ll be out on both Wii U and 3DS, but we have the file size for the former platform. The game should require 71MB of space.
