Minecraft getting “Tricky Trials” update in June, full details

May 30: The Minecraft 15th anniversary festivities continues, and it’s now been revealed that the major “Tricky Trials” update is coming next month. Players can get their hands on it starting June 13, 2024.
There’ll be a lot of new content to try out when the update launches in just a couple of weeks. Mojang Studios is adding trial chambers as a new structure, the breeze and the bogged mobs, the vault block, mace weapon, and more.

Minecraft animated show coming to Netflix

Microsoft and Netflix are teaming up on a new Minecraft animated show, the two sides announced today.
Little is known at the moment. Thus far, it’s only been said that the show will tell an “original story with new characters, showing the world of Minecraft in a new light.”

Minecraft releases free museum map for 15th anniversary

Minecraft is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a new museum map. Best of all, it’s entirely free.
The map was made in partnership with Oreville Studios. By exploring the museum, players can check out key moments in Minecraft history. Players can partake in mini games, collect lost memories, and explore historical exhibits to unlock the rich history of Minecraft. Multiplayer is fully supported as well.

Another update went live for Grounded this week, and version 1.4.2 is out now.
The patch brings along technical improvements, some changes, and more. One of the more notable things here is that loading a saved game takes less time now, and it’s 60+ seconds faster. Asset popping is also reduced along with short draw distanced in the Sandbox.

Grounded gained a new version 1.4.1 update on all platforms this week, including Switch.

Minecraft gets Kung Fu Panda collaboration DLC

The next collaboration for Minecraft is here with the game teaming up with the Kung Fu Panda franchise.
As part of the DLC, players can master kung fu alongside Po and the Furious Five at the Jade Palace. A special map was created that’s filled with action-packed battles, showdowns from the movies, and a multiplayer mode.
