Grounded physical

Grounded, the next Xbox-published game coming to Switch, is now confirmed for physical release. As was the case with Pentiment, Limited Run Games is handling distribution.

Grounded will have a standard version and collector’s edition. With the latter, in addition to a copy of the game, you’ll get a special box, 4×6 frame that includes ten swappable art cards, a USB cassette tape soundtrack, a CD soundtrack, dice set, stickers, art book, Mant minitures, and Hopes sweatbands.

Minecraft update 1.20.70

Minecraft returned with its latest update in the form of version 1.20.70.

Several changes, fixes, and experimental features are included. Highlights are that wolves now have double the amount of health than they used whil experimental content pertains to the Bogged, Wind Charge, and Vault.

Pentiment gameplay

Pentiment has come to Switch following its announcement yesterday, and we have gameplay. This is one of the latest releases on the platform from Xbox Game Studios.

Pentiment physical

Pentiment was announced for Switch today, and it didn’t take long for a physical release to be confirmed. Limited Run Games will be handling distribution.

Only a standard version will be offered. However, this is still very notable as it’s the first time the game is receiving a physical release.

Grounded

Xbox Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment will be releasing Grounded on Switch, the two sides announced today. The title is slated for April 16, 2024.

Pentiment

Originally released on Xbox, Pentiment is now heading to Switch. Xbox Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment revealed the port today which is actually releasing tomorrow, February 22.

Pentiment is a historical narrative-driven game in which players control Andreas Maler, “a clever illustrator caught up in a series of murders in Tassing and Kiersau Abbey over the course of twenty five years.” Learn more about it in the following overview:

Minecraft add-ons

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition was updated today, and the Switch version now supports add-ons.

Add-ons can be accessed through the Minecraft Marketplace. Players can use them to bring in new blocks, mobs, items, recipes, and other content to existing worlds and new ones. Add-ons can be combined as well. Players will also be interested to know that they’re easy to install, as they simply needed to be downloaded from the Minecraft Marketplace.

Minecraft Universal Studios Experience DLC

Minecraft just revealed a new collaboration DLC, this time for the Universal Studios Experience.

This special map combines legendary attractions and experiences inspired by Universal Destinations and Experiences around the world as well as throughout the theme parks’ history. Players will start at the gates of Universal Studios as Woody Woodpecker asks for help in restoring the letters on the Universal globe. Rides, souvenir shops, minigames, and more characters like Shrek and E.T. will appear along the way.

Minecraft update 1.20.61

Minecraft is back with a new version 1.20.61 update. Note that this version is specifically for Switch as other platforms show version 1.20.60, but both are the same.

Today’s patch includes experimental features from the upcoming 1.21 update, including Trial Chambers and the Breeze plus experimental Armadillo and Wolf Armor. Many bug fixes and parity changes are also available.

Hi-Fi Rush Switch rumors

January 8: Rumors have been circulating over the past few days regarding Xbox bringing some of its previous games to other platforms, with Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves named as potential titles for Switch. Speculation points to the former being more likely than the latter (for now).

Talk began after NateDrake, during an episode of his latest podcast, claimed that “Microsoft will be dabbling in bringing a first-party game to a competitor platform in 2024.” lolilolailo, who has previously leaked some other information, backed up the report by indicating that there are plans for Hi-Fi Rush on Switch.
