Yono and the Celestial Elephants

French retailers recently started to list a physical version of Yono and the Celestial Elephants. Now that it has appeared on Amazon France as well, we feel more confident that those listings are accurate.

It appears that the physical version of Yono and the Celestial Elephants will be available starting September 1, or sometime around then. Currently, no information has been shared about a release outside of France. However, Switch is region-free, and English will likely be supported.

Neckbolt has prepared a new patch for Yono and the Celestial Elephants. Version 1.01 is out now for all players. Once downloaded, you’ll be able to experience the game with the Switch Pro Controller.

Yono and the Celestial Elephants creator Niklas Hallin is cooking up a new patch for the game. Currently, the plan is to add in support for the Switch Pro Controller. Hallin says it’ll take some time for the patch to go through Nintendo’s submission process, “but it’s on its way.”

One of the big highlights from the most recent Nindies Showcase was the announcement of Yono and the Celestial Elephants for Switch. And you won’t have to wait long to play it. It was announced during the same Nindies Showcase that Yono launches on October 12, meaning it’s just a few days away.

Ahead of the release, we caught up with Niklas Hallin from Neckbolt to learn more about Yono and the Celestial Elephants. Hallin spoke with us about the project’s development, what you can expect from the gameplay, how it’s inspired by Zelda, why the game is a fit on Switch including console exclusivity, and more.
