Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime 3 will be re-released under Square Enix’s “Ultimate Hits” line. The “new” version comes out on December 6 for 2,940 yen.

Wii U pre-orders have been strong in the U.S. thus far. The console seems to be doing just fine in Europe, too.

GAME has send out a statement about Wii U pre-orders, stating that there has been “lots and lots of interest.” The retailer added that they’ve been “exceeding expectations”.

“As expected with such a highly anticipated announcement of Wii U, we’ve had lots and lots of interest. Pre-orders are exceeding expectations with the black console proving the most popular so far.”

The Wii U version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has been playable for a few months now. While the actual game content hasn’t been criticized, those who have tried it out have said that it suffers from frame rate issues.

Sumo Digital executive producer Steve Lycett, addressing fans on the official SEGA forums, stated that “the Wii U version is now the closet to the target frame rate” on consoles. Maybe this will ease the concerns of fans a bit?

You may be interested to hear that the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed demo hasn’t changed since July. Sumo has been busy working on the final product, so it hasn’t had time to prepare new content for expo attendees. If this really is true, one would definitely expect the Wii U racer to have improved.

Nintendo is excited to announce a creative partnership with Frieze London 2012, where Nintendo 3DS XL and New Art Academy will support the Family Space from 11-14 October. The Family Space is produced by ReachOutRCA for Frieze Foundation, and will offer families visiting the fair the chance to try New Art Academy game on Nintendo 3DS XL as well as featuring a range of drop in activities.

The Family Space will take inspiration from the Frieze Projects work of artist Thomas Bayrle and his use of pattern, and the activities will demonstrate some of the many ways pattern can be used. Using Nintendo 3DS XL and New Art Academy to teach children the basic principles of drawing, experts from ReachOutRCA will work with families to make collages, drawings and designs. The ethos of the family space will be to provide a fun and engaging place where parents and children can learn and be entertained. Nintendo 3DS XL and New Art Academy will allow all ranges of abilities and talents to try their hand at drawing, in the inspiring setting of Frieze London..

This partnership with Frieze London 2012 forms an integral part of a programme of Autumn activities to celebrate the launch of New Art Academy on the Nintendo 3DS XL. The additional events and workshops will be announced soon.
