Pokemon Smash brought us the goods on Pokemon Black/White 2, and now the show is teasing another announcement. Serebii reports that “The contents of this announcement are not currently known but the wording states that this announcement is something completely new and obviously Pokémon related.”

I have a feeling that this is related to Black/White 2. The games will be released in Japan within the next three months, so they need to start sharing concrete details about the project. Maybe we’ll see the first footage/images/gameplay details?

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 has been available on the Japanese eShop since December. The game also hit the European store last month. North American 3DS owners, however, are still waiting for an opportunity to purchase it.

We may hear something about a North American release soon. Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 is listed in Nintendo Power, so that probably means the magazine rated the title. If this is the case, the game is probably just a few weeks away.

Namco Bandai, SEGA, and Capcom’s 3DS crossover project was updated yet again earlier this week. As has been the case for several weeks, more chromosomes were added to each company’s petri dish.

Here’s how each dish looks currently:

We’ll be getting another update on the game’s official site in a few days.

The translation we posted last night regarding Yoshinori Ono’s hospitalization last night was somewhat wonky. He was indeed taken to the hospital, but he’s doing just fine.

An official Capcom blogpost says that it wasn’t too serious.

The message reads:

Regarding Street Fighter X Tekken producer Ono, immediately after the SFxT announcement event
He quickly felt very sick and fainted.
He was brought to the hospital and currently isn’t in a condition to come to work.
Happily, it hasn’t ended up as being severe, so let’s hope for a easy recuperation

About that XSEED tease yesterday – we can pretty much say with certainty now that they were teasing UnchainBlades ReXX localization.

But here’s where things get interesting. “Unchained Blades” is listed in Nintendo Power under the “Download” section of the magazine. This would have to mean that XSEED will be releasing what was a full Japanese retail game on the eShop, something we’ve never seen before.

Hopefully we’ll get more information on this soon!

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

When it comes to multiplatform games, the Wii version in typically placed on the backburner or is handed off to a different development team. That’s not the case with Epic Mickey 2.

With Epic Mickey 2, Wii is the lead platform for the project. Junction Point is working on the version for Nintendo’s console while Blitz Games Studios is handling the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 versions.

I suppose this shouldn’t come as a surprise, as the series did start off as a Wii exclusive. Nonetheless, it’s nice to know that the Wii version is in good hands even though Epic Mickey 2 will be a multiplatform release.
