A number of Renegade Kid’s DS efforts came in the form of first-person shooters. Dementium, Dementium II, and Moon were all FPS experiences.

Although the studio has yet to make a first-person shooter on the 3DS, Renegade Kid would very much like to make one for the handheld.

In a recent interview, Jools Watsham explained that he would like to return to Dementium, though the decision would be up to publisher Southpeak. Even if there isn’t a new Dementium game (or a Moon sequel for that matter), Watsham has an idea to make a retail-like FPS, but it would be for the eShop.

He explained (rough translation):

“Exactly. The 3DS is more powerful than the DS. The 3D experience would be incredible, Dementium is the atmosphere, darkness, sound … all that would be better in the 3DS. The lighting would be awesome, shading, detail and textures would be very rich … See Resident Evil ! It’s amazing when I saw him I thought ‘oh, there would be Dementium amazing!’

“Southpeak depends. They have the rights to the sequels. However, we are keen to make our own FPS for 3DS. We’re crazy for doing it. Whether or not related to Dementium or Moon, we are thinking of doing something completely new and launch a game of scale retail [sold in box] … but in the eShop. One of the things that I’d love: a full FPS for 3DS, but throw in the eShop, perhaps 10 or 15 euros, or something.”

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon should be launching on the Australian and European eShop soon. It was made available in Japan last month.

The game was rated by the OFLC, Australia’s Classification Board, so expect it soon.

The latest issue of Nintendo Power contains a very intriguing teaser. The magazine says they’ll have “a cover story for the generations” for the upcoming June 2012 edition.

The teaser is as follows:

“As summer approaches, Nintendo Power will start to heat up with some exciting new revelations in the June issue, including a cover story for the generations. Don’t miss it or you’ll rue your fate, comrade.”

If I had to guess, I would say this is related to a 3DS title. I don’t think we’d be receiving any Wii U announcements at this point, but you never know! In any case, Nintendo Power definitely has our attention…

No, these images aren’t different than the ones shared during Nintendo Direct. The quality is a bit better, however, and the resolution is closer to the 3DS’ top screen.

One thing about these videos: it shows the execution rather than the setup. So… in a way that makes it this less interesting.

Plus, I don’t know about you guys, but I enjoyed the Wii Remote (Plus) controls for the most part. I never was able to adjust to the flying segments, but other than that, everything was pretty much dandy and the swordplay was entertaining.

Telltale Games’ next title is The Walking Dead. The project is currently slated for a number of different platforms, including the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Telltale doesn’t have plans to bring The Walking Dead to Wii U currently, but CEO Dan Connors is open to the idea.

In an interview with Siliconera, Connors said:

“We’re not working on it currently, but that doesn’t mean we wouldn’t do it. It seems like it would be a nice opportunity, so we’ve just gotta kind of watch that a little closer. Getting involved with a launch platform involves a lot, so we’re in the process of figuring that out with Nintendo.”

Rayman Origins failed to light the sales charts on fire, but it did manage to turn a profit for Ubisoft. Perhaps this is why the company seems to be giving the game a second shot at success.

Kotaku has acquired images from an marketing survey that implies Rayman Origins 2 is on the way. It mentions “brand new settings: legendary worlds filled with castles, vampires, Ghosts, Greek Gods, or dragons”. The sequel would contain another “long and intense campaign”, along with the ability to play alone or with up to three friends in co-op.

The survey comes from Arkenford, a company that is a regular client for Ubisoft. Although a sequel appears likely at this point, we can’t be sure this is the real deal until we receive an official confirmation from Ubisoft,
