The Wii U doesn’t have a boxart “template” yet, but this is the image we’ll be seeing on the Metro: Last Light packaging.

Sometimes fans make really awesome things. “Project M” is one such creation that is really worth checking out. It’s a fan-made Super Smash Bros. Brawl mod capable of adding new levels, changes in settings, and more.

The best part about it? You don’t have to modify your Wii at all. It doesn’t use the Homebrew Channel or anything else. As long as you have a copy of the game and an SD card, you should be good to go.

A Skyloft stage is included in the Project M 2.1 demo, which apparently just came out yesterday. You can see a video of the level above.

If you’re interested in Project M, you can download the latest demo version here.

It won’t be happening for a few months, but this year’s Tokyo Game Show is already set in stone with a date and main visual.

The expo is scheduled for September 20 through September 23. As was the case last year, it’ll be taking place at the Makuhari Messe. The first two days are reserved for business matters while the last two days provide the public with an opportunity to sample games.

2012’s Tokyo Game Show main visual is the same one from last year, but it features a new color scheme. The gist of the girl’s purpose is to show her flying to your town to deliver the “memories of smiles” from the digital world.

Tecmo Koei has opened a teaser site for Samurai Warriors: Chronicles 2nd. It’s mostly absent of content aside from a flashy animation. Over the next few months, however, it’ll be filled to the brim with screenshots, videos, and other media.

You can keep tabs on the site here.

Atlus has a game announcement to make at the London MCM expo, it seems. A schedule of the expo shows that the company will be delivering some sort of news on May 26 – that’s this Saturday.

It’s tough to say what the announcement will be about. I feel like it has to be related to Europe though. After all, the expo is being held in London. If Atlus were to have a brand new title/localization to unveil, they’d probably save it for E3 at this point.

The Japanese Club Nintendo website has received two new rewards in the form of notebooks. One contains a Mario-centric theme while the other sports Princess Peach elements.

The two items are A5 (21x15cm) ring notebooks. Each is made up with 44 pages – 88 in total if you count both sides.

Members can purchase a notebook for 150 Club Nintendo points. Nintendo will ship out the prizes two weeks after the order date.

Konami has opened a new teaser site for something labeled “The Dragon Returns”. This is almost certainly a new Castlevania game.

It’s likely a sequel to Lords of Shadow, as the source code contains the words “CLOS Teaser Page”.

Expect a reveal during Konami’s pre-E3 show, which should be taking place late next week. News about Castlevania: Mirrors of Fate should be appearing as well.
