Rodea the Sky Soldier and Fishing Resort are Yuji Naka’s final Wii games. The father of Sonic said in an interview that he’s no longer working on any projects for the console. It make sense based on the fact that Wii U is launching next year, though Naka did say that he hasn’t received a development kit.

Here’s Naka’s response when asked if he’s making any additional Wii titles:

“No, none right now. I would really like people to play Fishing Resort and Rodea when it does come out on the Wii. I put a lot of time and effort into making those games. I’m proud of my work with these titles, so I can’t wait to see how the players react when the games are in their hands. I hope everyone who plays Fishing Resort gets to be a Grand Angler.”

Another batch of new The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword screenshots has been released. These images come from Nintendo of Japan. We can see a bit more of Skyloft and its various locations along with some bonus images that appear to be taken from outside of the realm.

This information comes from Yuji Naka…

“I think ten years later, the various consoles and platforms from Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony may not exist. Instead of buying specific hardware perhaps everything will migrate to software based systems like PC, iOS, and Android.”

Even though SNS and smartphone games have been on the rise, I just can’t imagine a future without Nintendo consoles in particular. Where would we get out Mario and Zelda fix?!

Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights has been pushed back from its November 13 launch date. The game will now ship on December 6, a few weeks later than originally planned.

Emails from Konami confirm the delay. Additionally, Amazon’s page for Doctor Lautrec says that it’ll be out in December.

This information comes from Yuji Naka…

“I don’t have a development kit right now. [Laughs.] Please ask Nintendo to send me one! Or maybe Bandai Namco Games can send me one. I would really like a chance to play with that hardware. Right now there probably aren’t many development kits.”

Someone get this man a development kit! Naka has proven that his Prope studio can provide interesting content. I’d love to see what he’d come up with on Wii U.
