This week’s Famitsu has a complete preview of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. The article features new screenshots of different areas and cut-scenes. Remember, the images above will look much better in person (or in direct-feed images for that matter) due to the quality of scans.

Nintendo has opened the official Japanese websites for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Star Fox 64 3D. Star Fox 64 3D will be released in Japan on July 14.

Apologies about the poor video quality below. Unfortunately, the footage on the size is extremely small, so the quality took an obvious dip when the dimensions were increased.

Nintendo’s North American and European subsidies announced the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D earlier today. What about Japan, though?

As was the case for the 3DS itself, the updated port will arrive in Japan before North America and Europe. The title is officially set for June 16 with a price point of 4,800 yen.

Famitsu review scores

Famitsu has returned with a plethora of reviews following a two week hiatus. I can confirm that the scores below are the real deal… unlike last week! Some of the reviews are a bit old, but that is to be expected since the magazine took a couple of weeks off.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 – Professional (DS) – 9/10/9/9
PilotWings Resort (3DS) – 8/7/7/9
Battle & Get! Pokemon Typing DS (DS) – 8/8/8/8
Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2011 (3DS) – 8/8/8/8

Homefront (PS3/360) – 8/8/8/7
Bullet Soul (360) – 7/8/7/7
Top Spin 4 (PS3/360) – 8/7/7/6
Earth Defense Force 2 Portable (PSP) – 8/7/6/6
WRC: FIA World Rally Championship (PS3/360) – 7/7/7/7
Original Story from Fairy Tail: Gekitotsu! Kardia Daiseidou (DS) – 7/6/6/7
Cosmetic * Paradise: Princess Life (DS) – 7/6/6/6

The Wii will be seeing a price reduction sooner rather than later, if Engadget is to be believed. The website reports, via a “trusted source”, that the console will only cost $150 starting May 15. This would make sense considering the system’s sluggish sales recently, not to mention that analysts have been calling for a price cut left and right. With no high-profile titles on the way (unless you want to count Wii Play: Motion), Nintendo isn’t left with a whole lot of options.

Thanks to Jake for the tip!

According to a OFLC rating for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Nintendo themselves are not handling the project. The listing indicates that Grezzo is the developer behind the title. Grezzo most notably created Line Attack Heroes for Wii, which was released on Japanese WiiWare last year.
