Posted on 14 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments

We are pleased to announce during this week’s Mega Man 10 launch that the rumors are true! Mega Man 10 does indeed have an additional character you can play as, and that character is Bass! On April 5 th, users can download Bass for 200 Wii points.

Dr. Wily designed Bass with Mega Man’s abilities in mind. Of course there’s a bitter rivalry between the two, although Bass will help Mega Man out if he sees a benefit for himself.

LEGO SYSTEMS AND TT GAMES PUBLISHING EXTEND GLOBAL EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP FOR DEVELOPMENT OF LEGO VIDEOGAMES THROUGH 2016

“This is a routine event and not in any way related to EA’s announced restructuring. Moving projects to leverage development strengths is common in global studio organizations. In this case, a small project has been moved from EA Los Angeles, to the EA Bright Light Studio in Guildford, UK, where the Harry Potter franchise and several of the Hasbro properties are developed. A small number of employees were impacted by the decision. All eligible employees will receive severance and outplacement assistance. EA remains fully committed to maintaining its EALA studio which is the headquarters for the mobile division as well as for development of franchises like Medal of Honor, Command & Conquer and others.” – EA spokesperson

“Jeff Dixon Has [sic] joined the ranks of the EALA departed. The Boom Blox team was laid off today.” – LinkedIn profile of Jeff Dixon, previously senior software engineer at EALA

According to Dixon, fourteen employees were let go. Unfortunately, It looks like if there’s another Bloom Blox title, it’ll be from a different studio. Or, at the very least, it won’t be from some of the same talent that created the first two games.

“We think this is just the beginning: We are fans of what we do, creating games! Gamers and gaming editors are fans of Clash of Heroes…So it would be hard to stop here right?”

I still can’t believe how much I loved Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes. It was one of the biggest surprises of 2009 for me. I didn’t know too much about the game and I wasn’t sure how much I’d enjoy it. As you can tell from my review, though, I found it to be an incredibly entertaining title.
