Playable Zelda

Nintendo’s Eiji Aonuma already shared a few words earlier this year on what it’ll take for Zelda to become playable, and he’s not commented on the possibility again.

Of course, as fans know, Link has taken the center spotlight in The Legend of Zelda even though the princess herself is often involved with the story. You can play as her in titles like Spirit Tracks and Hyrule Warriors, but that’s not exactly what some have been asking for.

AK-xolotl Chaos Trials and Chaos Unleashed update

The Switch version of AK-xolotl has been given a major update with the Chaos Trials and Chaos Unleashed.

Chaos Trials are unlocked after being the game and lets players turn on various Run Modifiers at different ranks. Chaos Unleashed contains a new boss, new enemies, new weapons and items, and more.

Hirilun

Publisher Ratalaika Games, along with Gone Mad Studios, today announced plans to bring Hirilun to Switch. It’s launching on December 15, 2023.

Hirilun is a fast-paced first-person platformer set in a dark, strange city with monochrome visuals. Learn more about it in the following overview:

There’s another Switch RPG in store from Kemco with the company having announced Jinshin for the console. It’s not too far off – a release date of December 22, 2023 is now set.

The Game Awards 2023 winners

The Game Awards 2023 just wrapped up, and we have the full list of winners from the show.

As was the case in 2017, Nintendo had two Switch titles nominated for Game of the Year with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Neither took home the top prize, but earned wins in other categories. Other games that are on Switch were also selected across the board.

Palia release date

Palia will be making its way to Switch next week, Singularity 6 has announced. It will be available on December 14, 2023.

Palia was first announced for Switch this past June. The game was said to be launching sometime this holiday, and it looks like Singularity 6 managed to hit that window.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU

Today at The Game Awards, EA and Surgent Studios announced Tales of Kenzera: ZAU for Switch. It has a confirmed release date of April 23, 2024.

1080º Snowboarding, Harvest Moon 64, Jet Force Gemini Switch Online

Three new N64 games have just been added to Nintendo Switch Online, with 1080º Snowboarding, Harvest Moon 64, and Jet Force Gemini going live on the service. They can be accessed with a subscription to the Expansion Pack tier.

Jet Force Gemini technically released last week, but only in Japan. Now that one can be accessed worldwide plus two others to boot.

Dave the Diver Dredge

During The Game Awards 2023, it was announced that Dave the Diver is collaborating with Dredge with a new DLC pack. It’s slated for December 15, 2023.

New fish types, new recipes, and a new NPC from the world of Dredge will be added to the game. Here’s a rundown of the different content:
