Rock Pocket Games is bringing its indie title Oliver & Spike Dimension Jumpers to Wii U.

Described as “Ratchet&Clank meets Zelda meets Uncharted”, Dimension Jumpers will offer adventure and platforming gameplay. Each world has a unique “Dimension Jumping” mechanic. Players will find three parallel dimensions, all of which contain an original storyline, quest-arcs, NPCs, and physical laws.

The story focuses on Oliver – a child separated from his parents as a child and “a boy with a special heritage” – and his friend Spike. Through the adventure, you’ll unravel Oliver’s past.

After nearly thirteen years of not allowing companies to sell their game consoles in the country, China’s seven ministries that originally banned the sale of gaming devices (under the guise that they would harm the mental development of children) are reportedly considering ending the prohibition.

The news comes from the China Daily, which says that the country’s “Ministry of Culture” is holding discussions and would need to get all seven organizations to agree on the idea before it could be enacted into law. The most important thing about the news story, though, is that Chinese kids who perhaps had an N64 before the ban in 2000 would all of a sudden be rocketed up to the Wii U and have their minds completely blown, which is an experience of which we can all be jealous.

Traditionally, LEGO games land on practically every major platform. LEGO City: Undercover, however, is a Wii U exclusive.

That could have something to do with the nature of the title. Speaking with ONM executive producer Loz Doyle said that Undercover “would definitely lose something on other platforms.”

Doyle explained:

“LEGO City Undercover would definitely lose something on other platforms. Chase is actually given a LEGO version of the GamePad as his Police Communicator, so it’s really woven into the story. We started with a massive array of ideas [for the GamePad] but in the end we focused on it being a police device. The map is really useful to have on at all times rather than in a small corner of the screen, plus you receive video calls from different characters.”
