So, where’s Spelunker on the Wii U eShop?
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Remember how Spelunker was supposed to come out on the Wii U eShop today? What happened?
Spelunker is still listed for release today on Nintendo’s website. Yet, it’s nowhere to be found on the eShop, and it wasn’t mentioned in today’s PR.
I suppose someone screwed up somewhere!

Life of Pixel dev shows some interest in a Wii U version
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Pixel Press has a chance of coming to the Wii U. The app, which allows users to create their own video game level and share it with others, may be bound for the system as the team is “excited to explore consoles and our extended team has experience with building software on those systems.”
The game’s developer said the following during a recent Reddit AMA:
I love the Wii U and Nintendo. A big inspiration for Pixel Press was Donkey Kong Crash Course in Nintendoland. …Did I mention I love Nintendo? …we’re excited to explore consoles and our extended team has experience with building software on those systems.”

A Hat in Time already reaches Kickstarter goal, will “do everything to get on the Wii U”
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Podcast Stories, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Just a day after it began, A Hat in Time has managed to reach its Kickstarter goal. Close to $35,000 has been raised, and there’s still 28 days to go.
A Hat in Time’s developer has also addressed the topic of a Wii U version once again. While it’s something that is very much wanted, the game engine currently doesn’t support Nintendo’s console with its current license. That being said, they’ll “do everything to get on the Wii U”, and there’s still hope to include the system during the Kickstarter period.
A lot of you are asking why we aren’t adding Wii U as a stretch goal, and to be honest, we really want to! But unfortunately, despite the Nintendo eShop’s ability to self-publish, our game engine does not support Wii U with the license that we have!
That is why we might need help getting the game on other platforms than Windows and Mac! As you can hear, it is quite a rut we’re in, but we’ll definitely let you know when we are ready to support Wii U! We really want to make it possible during the Kickstarter period! Rest assured that we’ll do everything to get on the Wii U!
Thanks to KIDNINTENDO for the tip.
A few songs will be removed from the Rock Band Music Store on June 30
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
At the end of June, a selection of songs will be removed from the Rock Band Music Store. This is because some licences for Rock Band DLC are expiring.
The following songs will be taken down on June 30:
Tokio Hotel – “Monsoon”
Die Toten Hosen – “Hier Kommt Alex”
Les Wampas – “Manu Chao”
Them Terribles – “Bullets & Guns”
The Material – “Moving to Seattle”
Crooked X – “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dream”
Vesuvius – “Promised Land”
Those who have purchased any of the songs above after the aforementioned date will still be able to access them through the library.

Gateway says it has the first working 3DS flashcart
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 1 Comment
Gateway is claiming to have the first working 3DS flashcart up and running. As demonstrated in the video above, this makes it possible to run 3DS titles through microSD cards.
“The GATEWAY 3DS TEAM proudly presents the first ever video proof that many thought impossible. Below we show an unedited video of the device booting 3 different backed up 3DS ROMS consecutively which are loaded on the GATEWAY 3DS device via microSD cards. We hope you are as excited as we are! “
This could potentially cause problems in the world of piracy. I’m sure Nintendo will be doing everything in its power to crack down on Gateway’s plans and similar ideas.
