amiibo figures can only hold information for one game at a time
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 20 Comments
amiibo figures will only be able to hold information for one game at a time, Nintendo has confirmed.
That news has been revealed via a notice posted on the Japanese amiibo website. The message states:
“Amiibo can only store data for one read/write compatible game at a time. If you wish to use the data from other read/write compatible software, please erase the data in the ‘Amiibo settings’ section of the Wii U settings menu.”
Keep in mind that amiibo figures with already-stored data can still be used for ready-only games.

Rodea: The Sky Soldier is alive, coming to Wii U and 3DS this spring in Japan
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 19 Comments
Rodea: The Sky Soldier has finally resurfaced. The game, which was first announced for Wii and 3DS in January 2011, is coming out in Japan this spring.
It should come as no surprise that the Wii version of Rodea has been scrapped, and the game is now coming to Wii U (and 3DS still) instead. Interestingly, Famitsu reveals that first print copies of the Wii U version contain the bonus of the Wii version – what this means exactly is currently unclear.
Rodea: The Sky Soldier features huge bosses that are many hundreds times the size of Rodea himself. Famitsu also has a look at three previously mentioned characters.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS 1.0.4 patch coming later this month
Posted on 10 years ago by Jarop(@gamrah) in 3DS, News | 7 Comments
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will be receiving yet another update, though it appears this one will be a bit more significant than what we’ve previously seen. Nintendo will be including some ‘balance fixes’ and while they haven’t detailed specifically what that means, those that have version 1.0.3 or earlier will not be able to challenge those on 1.0.4 once they’ve updated.

Next couple of amiibo rounds confirmed for Japan – Shulk, Rosalina, Sonic, Mega Man, and more
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 31 Comments
Nintendo is releasing amiibo figures in waves. In Japan, there will be eight figures in round two and another three in the third set.
Fan favorites like Shulk and Rosalina will be available in the second set. And perhaps most importantly, the first third-party figures are releasing in the third – Sonic and Mega Man.
Most of the figures pictured above are due out in Japan on January 22. Shulk, Sonic, and Mega Man are the three expected in February. Pricing is set at 1,200 yen each.
To summarize:
January 22
Lucario
Rosalina
Bowser
Toon Link
Sheik
Ike
Meta Knight
King Dedede
February
Shulk
Sonic
Mega Man
Just as a reminder, this is for Japan only. It’s slightly confusing because the amiibo rounds are different between the west and Japan. We’re getting Zelda, Luigi, and a few others in December, which is round two for us. But Japan is getting all of these figures in their first round at launch.
